After the Great Depression, banks were seperated into those charged with accepting deposits and making business and personal loans and institutions concerned with investments. At the end on the Clinton Adminstartion, it was repealed. During the years while G/S was in effect, we had unprecidented stability and growth. Since it's repeal wre have gone from on finicial crisis to another nearly resulting in a second Great Depression. Bail-outs have cost the Americal taxpayer, billions, if not trillions, of dollars. It's time to regain our finicial sanity

  • Payroll Tax Reform
Support a Social Security Tax exemption on first $1,000 earned per month and eliminate the maximum cap. Currently, Federal social insurance taxes are imposed equally on employers and employees, consisting of a tax of 6.2% of wages up to an annual wage maximum ($110,100 in 2012) for Social Security and a tax of 1.45% of all wages for Medicare. This is the most regressive of all tax situations in the United States. It also causes many to circumvent the law and operate illegally. Recent modifications in the contract labor definition have helped but a more appropriate solution would be to exempt the first $1,000 of each wage earner each month and eliminate the cap. This change, without raising the level of benefits, would ease the burden of taxation on those in the absolute lowest economic position to a flat tax rate on all others equally. Computing the exemption monthly reduces the verification process that would be entailed if an employee changed employers mid year. Those earning hundreds of thousands to millions per year would carry an appropriate level of fiscal responsibility for the nation. Regardless of whether this increases or decreases the overall revenue by $1 this constitutes a more logical allocation of taxation. In all likelihood, this will increase revenue to the Social Security Administration, and efforts need to be maintained to keep these funds from being commingled with other federal revenue sources. Every powerful decision maker will be adversely affected by this measure, so support will be extremely limited unless it comes with resounding force from the grass roots level. Please join me in signing this petition and making payroll taxes more equitable for all.

  • Stop ALL Foreclosures
There are nearly 4.5 Million homes which are at serious risk of being taken by the banks. Most are underwater. The FHA, VHA and the Fannie and Freddie owned mortgages are not allowed to be modified. It is time to realize the Bailout was pointed at the wrong people. If Foreclosures were stopped for 12 months on all mortgages under $729K, the financial boon to the economy would be phenominal. Taxes for the real estate would still be paid - helping the states and towns, and there would be no interest deduction so the tax revenue would most lkely go up. 12 months of having the mortgage payments available for job searches, gasoline, food, repairs, and purchases would far outstrip the payroll tax cut and cost NOTHING to anyone - even the Banks will find a way to write this off. The banks were happy to do this on their own for several months when they were threatened by the SEC for Robo signing.

We are sending another $3.2 Billion dollars carte Blanche, and 20 MORE very expensive Fighter Jets to Israel soon. while the Israeli's are annihalating the Palestinians one by one, expanding settlements, starting war with Iran, and literally controlling our government with contributions from our Taxpayer money, AIPAC, and Sheldon Adelson's Billions. We are led by the nose by Netanyahou and the Israeli lobby's to such extremes, that it's becoming a real outrage. They are starting a World War
