Florida legislators and Governor Rick Scott have imposed drug testing on welfare applicants. If drug testing is needed for out of work Floridians, why not for those responsible for the State's multi-billion dolllar budget and the laws which affect all of us?

I would like to start a petition to President Barack Obama and Congress to please release the long-awaited report on the risks and health effects of the toxic substance "TCE" known as Trichloroethylene. Scientists at the EPA have completed the report but it was not released to the public on September 2, 2011 as planned and we deserve to know the results.

Our country is at war. Over 6200 young men and women have died in Iraq and Afghanistan and the numbers grow daily. Why then, does the evening news start with a story on Lindsey Lohan? Every newscast and newspaper in this country should devote a moment or space to naming and honoring these young men and women who die everyday. A photo and a sentence. They deserve it. Daylight Savings Time is an outdated relic from another era long since passed. It is confusing, useless and unnecessary. DST disrupts your internal clock & biorhythms, in addition to it being completely annoying changing the time on every last appliance that has a time display. So along with other useless wreckage and lumber (ie. dial up internet, typewriters and betamax) it is LONG overdue time for DST to be thrown onto the scrap-heap of history!
