• Occupy Wall St's Absent Supporters
Many middle-aged people support the Occupy Movement but are unable or afraid to participate for fear of losing their job and/or their health insurance. Images suggest most of the participants are young or retired or jobless. Wouldn't it be interesting to discover how many folks they are representing who cannot be actively involved? Why not sign a petition to demonstrate your support? If your health care was not tied directly to your work what kind of freedom would that grant? Is that part of the reason some might like to keep healthcare tied to employment?

  • Bring Jobs back to America
I will like Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill, to keep jobs in the USA. For example, If an American company has a factory in China with 1000 employees by law they need to have the same employee counts in USA.

  • Stop Trashing Our Planet
Global warming. If I remember correctly, 2012 is the year that the warming trend is irreversable. But we can't accept that! This has got to be THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE for everyone around the world. It seems we're either preaching to the choir, or ignoring the elephant in the room. This scares me, for my children and for the future of everyone and everything on this unbelievably beautiful planet.

  • Hillary Clinton for Vice President
Do we on the left want to control the White House for twelve more years? Of course, we do. Do we want a woman president? Naturally. We can improve our chances for both if we persuade the President Obama and the powerful democrats to replace Biden, who has done a reasonable job, with the outstanding Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

  • Federal Investigation of Housing FRaud
Bankers, rating institutions, and other corporate entities destroyed the United States economy and yet nobody has been prosecuted, nor has there been significant reform to ensure history doesn't repeat itself. In fact the same individuals who violate the laws that should have protected our country are either still receiving multiple billion dollar bonuses or are employed in government under the Obama administration. It's time to pressure President Obama to investigate the architects of the housing bubble and hold them accountable for destroying our economy through ruthless greed and corruption.

  • Home loan Value
If your home is valued less than its worth, refinaince your existing homeloan equal to todays marketable home value. Yes, instead of watching your memories be taken away from you and your family, this new "Start Fresh" loan conversion will keep tha American Dream alive. No more foreclosure. The lender MUST provide you a new home loan based on the market value of your home rather than what is owed. We didn't bail them out for nothing, now its time for them to help the people get back to what is riight rather than watching them get deeper and deeper into dept trying to pay for something that will continue to choke them out.

  • Accessible, affordable healthcare
Most doctors and several hospitals in the NY metropolitan area do not accept private insurance. For example, the NYSHIP Empire Plan ( to which most teachers, fireman and police officers belong) is not accepted by 95% of the doctors at NYPresbyterian/Colombia/ Cornell Hospital/ Hospital for Special Surgery (one of the best and largest in the country). Out of pocket expenses for a consultation alone can run thousands of dollars making it prohibitive for most patients. The healthcare system in this country continues to be rife with inequities in accessibility, cost and quality, and abundantly mismanaged, cost ineffective and corrupt. Our legislators need to continue to work on this problem to maximize quality, eliminate fraud and minimize the inequities that currently exist.

  • OBAMA is INTEGRITY with BRAINS and HEART
This petition is for all Americans, stating how I view our President and what he has accomplished. There is a correction or two from the earlier version, where vulgar language was used in reference to the previous president causing the petition to be blocked by the SignOn committee. Hopefully, this petition will be distributed to all members of Congress as well as the media to show overwhelming support for all that President Obama has done.

  • Repeal the Patriot Act
The Patriot Act is anything but patriotic in its nature and intent. The privacy and civil liberties of American citizens are disregarded in this law, created in the wake of September 11, 2001.
