• Tell Congress: Don’t censor the Web
Fighting online piracy is important. The most effective way to shut down pirate websites is through targeted legislation that cuts off their funding. There’s no need to make American social networks, blogs and search engines censor the Internet or undermine the existing laws that have enabled the Web to thrive, creating millions of U.S. jobs. Too much is at stake – please vote NO on PIPA and SOPA.

  • End the Death Penalty in CT!
We can end the death penalty in Connecticut! A recent study has proven Connecticut's death penalty is applied in a racist and arbitrary manner, is far more expensive than life imprisonment without the possibility of release, and risks executing the innocent. We can pass repeal THIS year--please sign this petition and then ask your friends to do the same.

  • Permanent Voting Rights for ALL
Voter suppression laws have been implemented by the Republican Party in many states, especially here in Georgia. After all of the blood, sweat, and tears shed by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights pioneers, we DO NOT want those rights to be taken away! Please sign this petition and urge the U.S. Senate and U. S. Congress to ensure that all American citizens will have the PERMANENT right to vote by making additions to the verbiage in the 15th Amendment and Voting Rights Act. Resources: Library of Congress. • Congress: Remove Supreme Court jurisdiction over election financing.
The Supreme Court has taken a hard turn in favor of the 1% being able to buy elections. The Congress can override this trend, in favor of real democracy, and return power to the 99% at the ballot box. This power of Congress is already in the Constitution. A constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United is not needed.

  • Stop Cricket communications from bad service and bulling practices
Cricket communications works hard to get new customers with a cheap alternative to phone service but if you raise questions as to why you are not receiving the service promised you will get disconnected, bullied and overcharged. If you are tired of getting bulldozed by these companies who over charge , sell expensive phone with the promise of monthly charges that are lower than other companies all along not receiving the service you are paying for yet still having to deal with the added aggravation of having to move companies when they unequivocally refuse to take care of their clients then its time to show the executives that we are the people that have made them millions and we will not be discarded so easily..We expect the service promised and paid for and if the company is unable to , then we expect a refund of the equipment purchased ect.

  • The Michigan Health Exchange
The Michigan Health Exchange will affect our healthcare for generations. Senate Bill 693 is a "Clearinghouse - Non-Profit" health exchange design that would forbid the exchange from negotiating better health insurance rates for us and the exchange would be owned by a private company and benefit insurance companies. An "Active Purchaser - Quasi Governmental or State Run" health exchange design would be owned and controlled by us, and individuals and businesses could be combined into a large group. The exchange could then negotiate better rates for us, lowering the cost of healthcare. This type of health exchange would benefit the businesses and people of Michigan.
