• Fair Taxation for Contract Workers In Antarctica
Our fight is about taxation without representation and all we ask for is fairness. We believe that if someone is not entitled to any of the protections under federal law for employment related injuries or labor abuses, then one should be provided relief from the taxes that presumably help pay for benefits such as these protections. We ask for this relief.

  • A Law Needed to Govern Mental Health Care
According to the Congressional Research Service, there is NO federal law requiring psychiatrists to use real medical care so that a patient can recover. Members of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) use only palliative care which cures almost no one. Meanwhile they continue to suppress orthomolecular treatment which has a 90% recovery rate.

  • Keep California Youth Out of Prison
The State of California is closing the Southern Youth Correctional Reception Center and Clinic (SYCRCC). This is one of the few remaining facilities left in Southern California for Youth Rehabilitation, and it is by far the best. The closure of this facility will require youths to be shipped to other facilities, far away from parental and community support. Furthermore, those facilities are also scheduled to be closed within the next two years, leaving these youths to be incarcerated in adult prisons. The SYCRCC is the most effective of the DJJ facilities. Most youths enter only being able to read at a third grade level; by the time they are released at age 18, 95% have received their high school diploma. This facility is scheduled to close before year end, but recently there has been a push to close by mid-November, leaving these youths one step closer to facing incarceration in adult prisons with hardened criminals where they will not receive the treatment and rehabilitation they need. But you can help. Join us in petitioning the Governor to keep this facility open and to give these children a brighter future.

  • Label Vegan and Vegetarian Foods
As the list of animal-derived ingredients in foods and other products grows (gelatin, glycerin, some "natural flavors", etc.), vegans and vegetarians have an increasingly difficult time shopping and eating out at restaurants. Mandatory labeling on foods (and shampoo, toothpaste, etc.) and menus would get rid of the guesswork for this growing demographic, presumably increasing their options and promoting commerce.

  • Personal Financial Information "Opt-In"
Corporate America is all about private property rights... except when it comes to your personal financial information. They lobbied Congress to effect the current "Opt-Out" system where they have free use of your personal information unless you go through their procedure to restrict its use. That's not right. That information is your property and they should get your permission to use it.

  • Stop all free trade agreements! President Obama and Congress, please read this jobs plan.
We have a trade imbalance that has averaged around $600 billion a year for the last decade. Why? "Free" trade brings cheap goods here to the U.S. We are facing unemployment problems here in America why? "Free" trade us putting American workers in direct competition with foreign workers making $4 and hour. If we put tariffs back up, the price or goods would go up - making it possible to produce here and giving the government the money needed to stimulate job growth, without borrowing. • Funding "No Kill" Shelters
Dog and cat overpopulation forces over 4 million animals to be euthanized each year at public shelters. In addition to the cost in lives, there is a financial and emotional cost to this problem. The aim of every town or city with a public or private shelter should be to first reduce animal population through low cost spay/neuter surgery and education, including trap, neuter, release and management of feral cats, second, increase adoption campaigns to find homes for existing animals, and third, strive for a "No Kill Shelter" within the next five years.
