  • Congress needs to pass permanent authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund
We've made numerous trips down to Washington, DC over the years to fight for 9/11 victims and their families. Even though the experience is exhausting and infuriating—emotionally and physically—we keep fighting for the 9/11 responders and survivors in the Health Program who are in all 50 States and in 434 out of 435 Congressional Districts. The number of people coming forward with illnesses and cancers related to the exposures to toxins at Ground Zero grows every single day. Nearly every other day another 9/11 responder or survivor reportedly dies from a 9/11 associated cancer. As the consequences of these attacks grow so too do the costs which are taking a significant toll on the current funding for the victims of this tragic day. Chronic diseases like asthma, obstructive pulmonary disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and cancer continue to plague those who were exposed to the many toxins and carcinogens on 9/11 and in the weeks and months after. Currently more than 45,000 people who are in the World Trade Center Health program are suffering from at least one certified 9/11 condition caused by the toxins at Ground Zero, the Pentagon and Shanksville crash site—a large percentage have multiple conditions. It is Congress’s responsibility to provide the Victims Compensation Fund with all the funding needed to make sure that 9/11 responders and survivors get the help they need and deserve. The new bipartisan bill "Never Forget the Heroes: Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund," may be one of the few bipartisan bills that can pass Congress this session—and we don't have time to sit around playing political games. This is not a partisan political issue. We will talk to anyone—anywhere—anytime—to make it clear that our loyalty is to those who sacrificed so much for their communities. We ask so much of our Nation’s first responders and volunteers—from firefighters to disaster response volunteers. Let us not repay their selflessness with apathy. Sign the petition. Demand your members of Congress vote to support the bill. We need your support, energy, and love!

  • Petition to Deny Parole for Debra Reid Kimbrough
Debra Reid Kimbrough will be coming up for parole this year. On December 12, 2007, she shot and killed Howard Gene (Sonny) Kimbrough in the back while he slept. He was her husband. She took a plea agreement of Manslaughter, which carries a 10 year sentence, with an additional 10 years because it was a gun crime.

  • Raped in the U.S. Military: Protect Survivors of Military Sexual Trauma
According to estimates from the Department of Defense, 19,000 service men and women are sexually assaulted while serving in the United States military every year. But 86% of them never report their assault—too often because seeking justice threatens their safety, their job security, and their future. Sexual assault and rape in the military are no longer view as gender specific issues, rather it is a abuse of power which we must put a stop to! It’s time to take action and ensure survivors of Military Sexual Trauma (MST) are not invisible and receive the justice they deserve. Survivors should never suffer retaliation for speaking up and rape, harassment or sexual assault should never be an “occupational hazard.” Only Congress can change the UCMJ to create a real, working system for prosecuting sexual predators in the military – and ultimately putting an end to Military Sexual Trauma. • Not In MY Name!
We have been killing people all over the world (Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan to name a few) and now our government wants to kill Venezuelans. They've already said that Cubans and Nicaraguans are next. They do this in OUR names, and we do not accept this!

  • Demand That the Mueller Report Be Made Public
President Trump has lied repeatedly about his campaign's involvement with Russia in the 2016 election. We need to show that no one, not even the president, is above the law. Trump is a divisive president who is only looking out for people in his base, which is bad for the majority of the country.

  • Recycle Wyoming
Restaurants, bars, clubs, convenience, and grocery stores have no mandatory recycling rule in place and no incentive to start. I want to call on everyone who knows and cares about this huge and very important issue to help make it mandatory for any establishment that sells or uses glass bottles, paper products, cardboard or plastic bottles to recycle them. If there is any interest in something like this, then incentives can be created for these places of business to participate, fines can be established and issued to those who do not comply. Currently, the Capitol City of Wyoming has a very limited recycling program. Recycling is currently NOT mandatory. Yes, you read that right, NOT mandatory. This practice must end now and reasonable incentives need to be put in place to make compliance something that is not resented by targeted business establishments. Our future generations are counting on us to recycle. Otherwise, they will be mining our trash for resources like tin, and aluminum.
