I am starting this petition because I want to make a change in communities around me. If there are suicide rates 150% above the nation's average, that is beyond alarming. I have faced the effects of suicide first hand and it is not an experience I would wish upon everyone. This bill would be so beneficial to the Native American communities who are in desperate need of a helping hand to give them a sense of purpose and support in their lives.

We applaud California legislators for continuing to protect the people, land, and waterways from plastic pollution. Tell them they aren't doing enough in State Assembly Bill AB 1080 to combat the real issue at hand: single-use PET plastic. Source reduction solves nothing in relation to the plastic pollution in our environment. Recycling is not (and never has been) a viable option for 100% reduction of plastics in landfills. The only way to properly work on a solution to the plastics crisis includes a complete ban on single-use PET plastics. All plastic that has ever been created is still around in some form. According to Plasticoceans.org, "We are producing over 300 million tons of plastic every year, 50% of which is for single-use purposes." China is no longer a partner in the United States recycling program, and cities all over the country are struggling to find a solution to the plastic pollution crisis. In many places, refuse collection operators burn plastic trash or transport it to landfills. When plastic is heated to a high enough temperature it becomes a toxic fume. When plastic bottles are transported to landfills, they often end up in waterways and our oceans, ESPECIALLY in California. We know about the Garbage Island (the size of Texas). We know that California's economy is the fifth largest in the world-- bigger than Great Britain's economy. We know California coasts, rivers, and land are an asset both economically and environmentally. We KNOW Californians can make a worldwide difference, if our legislators will stop the garbage in its tracks. We must protect all aspects of California, and the only way to really protect California (and the rest of the world from our trash) is through proper legislation that bans the biggest problem in the plastic pollution chain: single-use PET plastic. I'm composing this petition after listening to Chris Cuomo's investigative reporting on the border crisis. Chris's investigative reporting made me desire to sign a petition in requesting Congress & Administration to take action on the border crisis. The crisis, being our overwhelmed DHS personnel needing help in humanely aiding asylum seekers at the border. Unfortunately, I don't see any petitions to keep Congress & Administration accountable to address this issue, before innocent families get harmed.

I want to change that school's bullying policy! They claim to be anti bullying but nothing ever gets done for those who are bullied! There need to be more rules at the school against cyber bullying.

To protect the 1st amendment rights of all people and members. To have interventions done by legislators and FCC.

Our CTES mission statement is not being honored by current leadership in the school. Because of this our school and community is facing problems on a daily basis. We have a letter of factual statements that is constantly being updated by the volume of people who have come forward to share their story of their negative interactions with the current principal. We will be attending the board meeting on April 25th. We are going to request to be on the agenda for that night. The price for our sports is increasing, taking more money out of parents pockets for their kid to enjoy their sport.

My household has been effected behind bullying and my 3rd grader is starting to become more distant than normal. We (as the parents of our 3rd grader) ask you to please sign this petition by telling others you stand AGAINST bullying!!!

Foundation Aid NYS funding for public schools is woefully inadequate. We have had enough of huge class sizes and cutbacks to programming because our Governor does not see education as a priority in our state. NYS has a tax cap and schools cannot raise the revenue they need by increasing taxes. The deficit caused by continual underfunding has caused schools like mine to lay off teachers, administrators, and support staff and increase class sizes. Sign this petition to ask Governor Cuomo to do his job and grant students their right to a quality education.

Japan's Olympics 2020 Committee is unconscionably scheduling events in the still highly radioactively contaminated town/prefecture of Fukushima. This would put all athletes and visitors who participate/attend events at the risk of endangering their health by inhaling or ingesting the radioactive radioisotopes spread into the environment by the still leaking devastated Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, such as plutonium, strontium, iodine, cesium microparticles, persisting to be present at frightening concentrations in Fukushima's dust, soil, forests, mountains, rivers and the Pacific Ocean where 80-150 tons of radioactive water continue leaking out of the nuclear plant daily into still highly contaminated Fukushima waters. To help to ensure that anyone who is elected into office is putting the interests of the people first, not their own benefit.

We believe that every child in Chicago should have access to at least a full time social worker in every single Chicago Public School; the standard is 250 students to every 1 social worker in schools with a normal level of trauma and 50 students to 1 social worker in schools with high trauma. The current ratio of students to social workers in CPS is 1053 students to every 1 social worker. Our kids deserve better, join us in demanding that our students have appropriate access to social workers in Chicago Public Schools.
