• Betsy DeVos Should Personally Fund the Special Olympics
I am personally disgusted by the contrast between Ms. DeVos’s personal wealth, which is growing under the current administration’s tax cuts for the wealthy, and her clear intent to undermine the needs of public education, especially those with special needs.

On Tuesday, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos met with the members of the House subcommittee to defend her department’s proposed budget for the next fiscal year. The proposal involves eliminating the entire $17.6 million that the federal government contributes to the Special Olympics. This will affect over 272,000 kids nationwide with special needs.

  • Pittsburgh DA Zappala: Resign Now!
District attorneys have vast power in criminal justice proceedings. DA Zappala has shown time and again that his interest in securing reelection far outweighs any commitment he has to justice and equity.

  • Help Fight NYS Jones Beach Parking fees for Charity Walk
The annual Out of the Darkness Community Walk for Suicide Prevention at Jones Beach State Park is held every October and NYS charges thousands of dollars ($13,000+ in 2018) for parking fees to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We need them to waive the costs or give a huge discount for this charitable event that helps save lives.

  • Remove statues that depict Black American slavery from public spaces
Statues which publicly display bias of Black American slavery needs to be removed from our public squares, courtyards etc. These depictions continue to be the leading cause of prejudice, civil unrest, injustices, hate, violence, discrimination, bigotry, malice, anger and a sense of entitlement over others. Example the statue of an African / Negro woman and the European / Caucasian who was a "know adulterer" and who many believe raped, engaged in sexual intercourse and impregnated many female slaves whom he declared he freed. This individual would be Henry Ward Beecher of course.

  • Democratic Presidential Candidates
Yes. It is becoming clear that candidates are taking effective negative positions on Jewish related topics. AIPAC alone is somewhat understandable. But next it will be anti BDS. YOU WERE Unable to make a definitive statement on antisemitism it became anti hate. It’s starts out as anti Israel then becomes anti Jew. I’m a progressive democrat.

I am a United States citizen. I hate the treatment that immigrants have been receiving. America is supposed to help those in need of asylum and we are treating those in need of help like their criminals.
