As Kentucky voters we need our Senator to do his job.

Our country doesn’t have to be a disgrace, or at the very minimum, doesn’t have to look like one. What’s happening under the watch of our federal government, or lack thereof, is atrocious. Especially in our national parks, where we need stewardship more than ever. The department of the interior needs instant funding to monitor, supervise, clean and restore!

I believe the President and Congress would use government shutdowns more responsibly if shutdowns affected them financially.

This extreme animal cruelty needs to be prosecuted.

Andrew Wheeler is a denier of the scientific consensus on climate change and a lobbyist for the coal industry. Before his appointment as Environmental Protection Agency assistant administrator, he held fundraisers for Wheeler hosted campaign fundraisers for top climate-denying Republican Senators John Barrasso and Jim Inhofe, both members of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works — the committee that voted on his nomination. That same committee is now considering whether to confirm Wheeler to replace corrupt climate denier Scott Pruitt as EPA Administrator. Pruitt left under a smoggy cloud of scandal—we need to prevent the cycle from continuing by stopping Wheeler. Wheeler's lobbying clients have included Murray Energy, the largest privately owned U.S. coal company, as well as Xcel Energy, a giant coal-fired utility group. Before that, he spent 14 years as a staffer for Inhofe. Before joining Trump's EPA, Wheeler spent time in between lobbying for polluters on social media, liking a racist image of former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama on Facebook and retweeting infamous “Pizzagate” conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec. As acting EPA chief, Wheeler is already rolling back rules on toxic coal ash and mercury pollution. We need to tell our U.S. Senators: stop Wheeler!

Every American citizen and citizen of the state of Alabama are granted certain rights according to the United States and Alabama Constitutions and laws. Mr. Brown was never given a fair opportunity to defend his rights or face his accuser and the allegations charged against him. Please stand up for his rights and your own by signing this petition your voice can make the difference in making those who we trust to uphold the freedoms and laws to not be biased or quick to circumvent the law as it is written.

The library in Mount Rainier is a community hub where we meet neighbors, find answers to problems, and discover books that entertain and inspire. The library has been closed since fall 2018. We need a clear plan of action from local leaders to keep the library open!

We know of freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, because they are familiar, better legislated, and as always - excellently litigated than our right to, “petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Federal workers, small businesses, park and border agents are not only feeling the pain of Trump’s shutdown - the longest federal shutdown in American history, our food and drug administration department can no longer inspect domestically produced meat, poultry, fish, fruits and vegetables. And neither can the USDA and the department of health, ensure the safety of foods and drugs coming into American homes because of Trump’s refusal to end this shutdown. We’ve had stories of military families struggling with mortgage, and federal workers not getting paid for now and the nearest future. Now imagine what will happen when food stamps runs out for ordinary Americans. This federal government shutdown by Trump must be brought to an end before it get worse! And the best you can do as an American, at this stage, is to show up in person, or pick up your cell phone and call your congressional representatives. People are dying because they no longer can afford the medication they require to live. It is a horrible shame that insulin makers only care about their bank roll and disregard the many human lives being affected by their greed.
