#HONOR1851TREATYOn 17 September 1851, the Fort Laramie Treaty was signed between United States treaty commissioners and representatives of the Cheyenne, Sioux, Arapaho, Crow, Assiniboine, Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nations. The United States acknowledged that all the land covered by the treaty was Indian Territory, however... BEFORE THE INK WAS DRY, THE TREATY WAS BROKEN. In the century that followed, over 500 treaties made with Native Nations were also broken — which has degraded the lives of Indigenous Peoples and the environmental health of Mother Earth. Honoring Native Peoples treaty rights protects us all from environmental genocide. Native Children's Survival challenges the United States and its Congress to #RightTheWrong and honor, with negotiations, at least one of the more than 500 broken treaties made with Native Nations - starting with the 1851 Fort Laramie Treaty.171 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Native Children's Survival

Support Dr. Christine Blasey FordTroubling content in Kavanaugh's high school yearbook further reflects out-of-control drinking, partying, and disrespect of women. Julie Swetnick says she was drugged and raped at a party where Brett Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge were present. Other times, she witnessed the two engaging in harassing and threatening behavior toward young women. Deborah Ramirez also says Kavanaugh exposed himself to her in college and made forced sexual contact. I am personally haunted by the way Anita Hill was treated and my lack of action to support her. We stand in support of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, Deborah Ramirez, and Julie Swetnick. Their allegations deserve a respectful audience and response from the Senate. We believe them.82,368 of 100,000 SignaturesCreated by Piera Cirillo

Give FIU Early Voting on CampusWhen it comes to voting, partisan politics should not matter. FIU students and faculty should be able to vote at a convenient location on campus. Other universities across the state will have early voting on their campuses, but FIU has been left out. We are asking Mayor Gimenez, Miami-Dade election officials, and FIU to work together to let our FIU community vote on campus.104 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Sabrina Priestley and Andres Solarzano

Abolish the Puerto Rico Federal Oversight Management BoardMy country, Puerto Rico, is been governed by an anti-democratic Federal Oversight Management Board, imposed by the Federal Government, which is taking our people to a deeper economic depression due to their insane political measures. We need to abolish this law and the Board asap or otherwise our people will face the worst human catastrophe ever, including massive migration to the US states, which will put bigger burdens over their governmental services. As a retired Full Professor of the University of Puerto Rico, all of us are facing the obligatory reduction of our pensions. This will make us live under the poverty level of the US.61 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dr. Ramon Nenadich

Wrongfully ConvictedMy son was wrongfully convicted of murder and sentenced to two consecutive life sentences. There are numerous items of evidence that were left out of the trial that play a vital role in justice being served. My son is in prison while a murderer is still on the streets.117 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Anthony Davis

Asmodee: Release a Splendor expansion focused on Peach Ring the Fruit Snack Loving FerretAsmodee got EVERYONE excited about Peach Ring the Fruit Snack Loving Ferret being an integral part the board game Splendor. They included Peach Ring in all of the game's pre-release promotional material and even included him on the current game box. It is an unforgivable insult to us that Peach Ring actually has no current role in the game whatsoever. We demand that Asmodee satisfies our insatiable craving for Peach Ring by releasing a Splendor expansion focused mainly on him so we finally are able to incorporate him into our games. It's what is owed to us, and we will not stop until our demands are met.392 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Jeffrey Kornberg

Yellowstone Landmarks Should Not Be Named After Men Who Incited GenocideNative American tribes from the United States and Canada are demanding that famous landmarks in Yellowstone National Park not be used to honor men who supported the "extermination of American Indians." In Yellowstone National Park, Mount Doane is named after a man who led the massacre of nearly 200 Piikani people on a Montana river bank and Hayden Valley was named after a man who called for the "extermination of American Indians." Leaders of the Blackfoot Confederacy and Great Sioux Nation are demanding that Mount Doane and Hayden Valley be renamed to "First Peoples Mountain" and "Buffalo Nations Valley." This fall, the U.S. Board On Geographic Names will decide whether or not to rename these famous landmarks. Please sign our petition and stand with the tribal leaders demanding justice for their people.4,709 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Matt Hildreth

Tell CPS: Protect Special Ed Students & Teachers!Parents and teachers across Chicago spoke out when Chicago Public Schools leaders denied special education services to students as a way to save money and cut budgets. Because teachers like Sarah Chambers were willing to blow the whistle when they saw students being harmed, a state investigation found that CPS was violating special ed law. CPS is now required to notify parents if their student doesn’t receive all needed services. Right when the first of these notices should be reaching parents, CPS lawyers are instead preparing for a hearing at the State Board of Education over Sarah, a highly rated and respected special ed teacher. They hope to fire her in retaliation for her advocacy. Rahm's hand-picked Board of Ed is still short staffing our schools. They don’t seem ready to follow the law and I’m worried about the effect it will have on others speaking out if they get away with retaliating against a teacher like Sarah.437 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Matthew Luskin
