• Cap Parking Tickets at $35
When $100 can make or break you, parking tickets can set off a series of events that completely destroy your life. I've seen vulnerable people forced into even more extreme vulnerability by Oakland's exploitative parking enforcement system.

  • Investigate Steve Bannon and Cambridge Analytica's misconduct
Cambridge Analytica, the GOP data firm in the news for stealing massive amounts of user data from Facebook, might be in even deeper legal trouble for violating campaign finance law -- and so could Steve Bannon, who ran Cambridge at the time. Common Cause just filed official federal complaints with the Department of Justice and Federal Election Commission, based on publicly available data that shows Cambridge and its employees repeatedly violated federal election law -- by letting foreign nationals participate in political expenditure-related decision-making of U.S. political committees in the 2014 and 2016 elections, including the Trump campaign, the John Bolton Super PAC and others. From our complaint: Cambridge "violated the federal law prohibition on foreign nationals 'directly or indirectly participat[ing] in the decision-making process of any . . . political committee . . . such as decisions concerning the making of . . . expenditures'" in connection with U.S. elections. That means Steve Bannon and his benefactor Rebekah Mercer -- who were running Cambridge at the time -- could be exposed to criminal prosecution for conspiracy or aiding and abetting these violations of our laws. We are a nation of laws, and our campaign finance laws must be enforced by the FEC and the Justice Department in order to safeguard the integrity of our elections from foreign interference. These companies and individuals ignored the law, enriched themselves performing millions of dollars of prohibited work for candidates and committees, and then boasted about the effectiveness of their activities in swaying U.S. elections. The laws Cambridge violated are meant to ensure a fair democracy where everyone plays by the rules -- and we must speak up for the rule of law. That's why it's of the utmost importance that the Federal Election Commission and Department of Justice fully investigate Cambridge Analytica's misconduct, and hold any and all wrongdoers accountable to deter future violations. Please add your name today.

  • End Oregon's Loan Shark Business
The interest rates charged on delinquent property taxes are excessive and a significant cause of homelessness. If circumstances prevent a person from the timely payment of property taxes, the 16% interest rate can put them in a hole from which they can never climb out.

  • Stop defaming the name of Pocahontas
As a blood relative of the great Native American woman Matoaka aka Pocahontas I’m disgusted and offended by President Trump’s continued denigration of her name as a political insult. I believe most people with native blood feel the same. President Trump stop the childish insults of a native woman who had more integrity in her short life than you will ever have.

  • CNN: Never Interview Rick Santorum on TV Again
The students organized the March for Our Lives to call on government to enact common sense gun restrictions. They were exercising their First Amendment rights to petition the governement for legislation so students and others are safe. Rick Santorum said they should instead take personal, individual responsibility including enrolling in CPR classes and learning ways to respond to mass shootings and not look to government or others to solve problems. Santorum should be dismissed forever as a CNN commentator and roundly condemned.

  • Fire Santorum from CNN
CNN needs to stand up for the kids who marched for their lives and CNN needs to stand up for the families who have lost children to gun violence. No one should be allowed on television making children feel that they have not done enough when the adults and elected officials have failed them. CNN is allowing the NRA to undermine the integrity of CNN.

  • University of Idaho Students for the Removal of Rob Spear
Students attending the University of Idaho, faculty, community members, and alumni demand action in response to an incident in 2013 which recently was publicized. Rob Spear, Director of Athletics, confessed to a clear violation of Title IX guidelines by not reporting a sexual assault charge to the Dean of Students in April of 2013. Rob Spear not only refused due process which allowed the assailant continued exposure to the student body, but misinformed the victim of her options, denying her access to institutions that could provide justice, safety, and vital counseling resources. We as a student body demand better from our leaders. This petition seeks the swift removal of Rob Spear as an employee of the university.

  • Advocate for OT in Homecare
Please join the occupational therapy student-led group "Advocate For OT in Homecare" from Bay Path Unversity in supporting the Medicare Home Health Flexibility Act (S.977 and H.R. 3820) The Medicare Home Health Flexibility Act would specifically allow occupational therapists to open home health therapy cases and conduct the required comprehensive assessments. Occupational therapists are qualified to perform the initial and first comprehensive rehabilitation assessments based on their unique training and perspective, which focus on a person’s functional capabilities. Not allowing occupational therapists to open health therapy cases, causes unneeded barriers to providing patients with effective, timely, and appropriate therapy services. We hope you will join Senators Ben Cardin (D-MD), Dean Heller (R-NV) as well as the National Association of Home Care and Hospice (NAHC) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and support the Medicare Home Health Flexibility Act.

  • Demotion from GM: Jessica
We the community, believe Jessica has proven to be unfit to handle the responsibility of being a community manager. She has proven this through various mishandled altercations. Some of which she creates herself. She has also proven to be selective in her punishment. In some instances, she trolls as much as those who she has punished. In others, she has proven to be insensitive to toxicity offending players. A person being a CM do so with no biases. As a whole and for the better of the community, we believe Jessica is unable to do so. It would be best to have her go on a "break".

  • Freedom From Waste Management's Outrageous Fees.
The fees are so outrageous landlords are leaving dumpsters ON THE STREET in front of their buildings to avoid paying them. It is unconscionable to charge the fees Waste Management is charging. Since when can the city tell us which vendors we can hire for services? Why are they letting them rob us blind?
