We must require that we receive proof that these cabinet members (Tom Price, Shulkin, Stephen Mnuchin, Ryan Zinke, Scott Prutt, Ben Carson and any others) have reimbursed the treasury fully for this rampant misuse of taxpayer dollars. Mr. Trump will not ever require this but someone in the White House or some other agency should be sending a collections agency after them for their kleptocracy.

Income tax refunds aren't guaranteed to a lot of poor families and minorities. More recently, he penned an op-ed on the case for war with North Korea. He just can't be trusted at all - yet Trump appointed him to National Security Advisor. Trump pushed out his secretary of state and national security adviser who had helped restrain Trump's desire for war. His new appointees would be far worse—putting us all at risk. On April 4th the TDPUD board will vote on whether to enter into an agreement to obtain power from the Small Modular Reactor (nuclear) project known as the Carbon Free Power Project (CFPP). The end result of this project will be that TDPUD will be a part owner and contracted customer of a nuclear power plant that will be constructed outside of Idaho Falls in 2023. There is no effective method of storing spent nuclear waste. The waste generation and non-renewable nature of this project is in direct contrast with the Town of Truckee 100% Renewable Resolution, which calls for 100% renewable electricity, town-wide, by 2030.

More than 2 million Americans are addicted to opioid painkillers or heroin, but only 1 in 5 is receiving treatment for their disorder, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Mobile methadone treatment vans have been serving people with opioid addiction in rural towns and underserved inner-city neighborhoods for nearly three decades. Equipped with a bathroom and private counseling rooms, the vans offer low-income residents drug screenings, addiction assessments, and counseling. For many, methadone is an effective addiction medicine that successfully reduces drug cravings and wards off relapse. It is, unfortunately, out of reach of the many who live far from America's approximately 1,500 dispensing locations. Communities need more of these mobile units and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, which regulates dispensing of the FDA-approved addiction medicine, has refused to license any new methadone vans since 2007. That’s why state and local addiction agencies and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) have requested DEA to rescind the ban. However, the DEA has failed to act. Together, we can ensure that the Drug Enforcement Administration approves the use of mobile methadone units.
