There are thousands of citizens trapped in the cycle of predatory lending. The ridiculous interest rates are criminal and while common sense says stay away desperation pushes us in. Laws need to strict on these entities there are locations in every neighborhood and as a consumer I'm concerned about the stability of my community and the financial well-being of citizens statewide. Texas has been successful in driving them out of their state and returning thousands to consumers. Lets do the same in Tennessee.

I got denied a V. A. Loan because Credit First put a fraudulent bill on my Equifax Credit Bureau. This company hates Veterans and Gold Star Families. Credit First is behaving uncontrollably with an obnoxious predisposition. I have played the Credit First game far too long. This company has holistically ruined my life. Now that I see where Credit First is coming from, I can understand why so many consumers are frustrated with them. I will fight this all the way to my grave. I don’t expect them to act honorably with my complaint. I don’t expect Credit First N.A, to make it right with African-Americans. They hate Veterans and African-Americans! This company is complicit with others to swindle, deceive, and dupe consumers under the guise of racist forethoughts. They do not have any SHAME. I thought Jim Crow was dead, and in 2018 we are dealing with his nephew, James Crow, Esquire.

Machines designed to kill people are readily available in many places. Our gun safety laws are not protecting us. We need to lock up assault weapons in an armory and restrict their use.

This petition affects all of the USA. I am starting this petition in an effort to stop violence in our schools as we have suffered many school shootings over the years.

Besides focusing on changing gun laws, we need to focus on Safety. We need to have School Safety Guards and metal detectors. We need our schools to be a safe place for our children and staff to be able to learn, teach, and grow across America. No one should be worried about going to school because someone may shoot up the place. In the process, it will also create jobs. As for myself, I am a parent but also I am one of many who help keep NY schools safe. Please sign and together we can get things done.

We were promised an affordable program for Medical Marijuana in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, our state failed us. Many of the patients are low or on a fixed income. With prices averaging a cost of $1000.00 a month, this is not affordable for most of the patients.

We do not want natural (fracked) gas (the potent greenhouse gas, methane) expansion in the Granite State, including Liberty Utilities' proposed Granite Bridge Pipeline and Unitil's gas expansion plans for Manchester, Auburn, Candia, Raymond, Epping, Brentwood, Exeter and Stratham. SOUTHERN NH opposed the NED pipeline and opposes the Granite Bridge Pipeline (Concord lateral) that threatens our water, air, health, safety, food and future with natural (fracked) gas leaks and emissions that include trade secret chemicals undisclosed to the U.S. government. NORTHERN NH has opposed the Northern Pass that would install massive unsightly towers, rip through the White Mountains, reduce tourism, scenic vistas, water quality and wildlife, clear-cuts carbon-trapping forests, poisons water and has left salmon near extinction.

In 2016 Russia meddled in the Presidential election. Our intelligence agencies unanimously warn that Russia will meddle again in our midterm elections this November 6th, 2018. As many as 50 million people (25% of registered American voters) currently vote on electronic voting machines (DREs) that do not produce paper backups. DRE’s are still in use in 15 states, including the swing states of Georgia, Pennsylvania and Virginia, despite well documented concerns by cyber experts that these machines are vulnerable to hacking, malicious software, and glitches that could result in incorrectly recorded votes. And because they are paperless, there’s no way to check the accuracy of reported election results. All computer voting is subject to tampering, and although many voting machines do have paper ballots that could be audited, audits are expensive for states, difficult to secure, and therefore rarely used. How will we ever know that our votes are honestly counted? Senators James Lankford (R-OK) and Kamala Harris (D-CA) introduced The Secure Elections Act (S.2261) on December 21st. It has bipartisan support and is co-sponsored by Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Susan Collins (R-ME), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Martin Heinrich (D-NM). This Bill helps us to trust our election counts by requiring automatic spot audits. Additionally: It eliminates paperless voting by returning to paper ballot back ups AND requires spot audits of machines to improve accountability and transparency in elections It requires the federal government to cover cost of recounts and audits to eliminate financial strain on local governments AND provides federal grant funds to modernize voting systems. It establishes "Bug bounties": lets federally contracted hackers in to election networks to search for vulnerabilities and offer cyber-security advice about where to focus limited resources It requires the federal government to build a catalog of cyber-security services that they can provide to state agencies. It calls for states, contractors, and vendors to notify the federal government and election agencies when their election systems are hacked or compromised. Mitch McConnell and the Senate leadership are ignoring this Bill. In fact, most Senators aren’t even familiar with its provisions or the importance of safeguarding elections at the local precinct and tallying level. Action Demand that Mitch McConnell and the Senate pass this bill (S.2261) and demand that we move toward more secure, verifiable elections now before midterm elections.

Over 90% of Americans believe that there needs to be some legislation taken to reduce the number of mass shootings in this country. Yet nothing happens because of the strong hold the NRA has on our politicians. Let's stop the madness and start protecting our innocent children who so often are the targets of these military-style guns. Please take this promise with me: "I promise I will never vote for anyone who is taking contributions from the NRA." It's that simple. This is not a partisan issue. Unfortunately, Conservatives, Republicans, Independents, Democrats, and Liberals all take donations from the NRA and therefore refuse to represent the will of the people when it comes to common-sense gun laws. The 2nd Amendment is secure but the NRA uses it to promote fear for profit. It is in our power to send a message to Washington and cut the strings the NRA has on our government. Please sign, make an abiding promise and let's save lives.
