Demand that the VSBE Investigate Election FraudThe Virginia State Board of Elections has decided not to request an investigation into the case of voter fraud involving a contractor for the Republican Party, Colin Small. This represents a systemic attempt to disenfranchise Virginia voters, of which I am one. The SBE is hand-picked by Governor Bob McDonnell, and two of its three executive members are Republicans. I also understand that our Attorney General is also a Republican. I can see how this story would be inconvenient for these individuals and their party so close to the presidential election, considering the hypocrisy of the Republican party complaining so loudly about voter fraud up until this point, and then refusing to investigate it when it happens on their side. However, I believe that as a government agency, it is grossly irresponsible of the SBE to refuse to Investigate such a serious offense. The SBE is supposed to be a resource for Virginia voters that can be relied on to protect the sanctity of voting rights. Unfortunately, it is being used to do just the opposite of that. Once again, I am embarrassed by the partisan politics that have come to define our state, and I hope that some kind of reconciliation can be achieved by the pursuit of justice for the voting people of Virginia.67 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Christopher Rini

Virginia Attorney General: Investigate Trashing Voter RegistrationsIt is the fundamental right of all U.S. citizens to vote in an election. Discarding voter registrations unlawfully takes that right away from citizens who have the right to vote. It should not only be investigated, but harshly punished. It is your duty to investigate every occurrence of situations such as this.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Debbie Shelor

Voter Fraud in VirginiaYesterday it was reported that Virginia's Republican Attorney General, Ken Cuccinelli, won't investigate a Republican campaign operative found discarding voter registration forms, because "he only looks into election issues after a request from the State Board of Elections." Folks in Virginia are upset that this clear instance of fraud is being swept under the rug. This petition is asking the Virginia State Board of Elections to request an investigation into the discarded voter registration forms.25 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Caroline Reznicek

Make Election Day a National Holiday Again! When I was growing up Election Day was a National Holiday. I think Election Day should once again be put in the spotlight as the important day it is for freedom and democracy. Stop and take time to think and vote! So many Americans have lost sight exercising this critical responsibility.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Janice Manzolillo

Petition the Justice Department for Voting Rights EnforcementThe Republican Party is trying to steal the election. We need to do something about this immediately. We should get together and demonstrate against the deceit and tyranny of those trying to block the vote for Obama. We cannot wait for election day to do something about this because it will be too late. This is the most important issue because it goes to the very heart of our democracy. We could lose it if we don't make sure we have a fair election.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Carol McCarthy

Absentee Requests at the PollsConvert fair-weather Democratic voters to reliable voters by getting them to sign up for absentee ballots. How? Assign volunteers to work Democratic polls and early voting sites with absentee ballot request forms. Have voters fill in name, address and date of birth or voter ID number and sign. The volunteers can submit requests to local supervisor of elections. Long term solution, It's far more efficient than canvassing because it targets actual voters -- not likely voters.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michael Blake

Stop Tagg RomneyReading about Tagg Romney's ownership in electronic voting machines in several states is appalling. His father is a presidential candidate, and both have connections with Bain. This constitutes voter fraud. Trying to rig election results in one's favor smacks of treason!80 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jacqui Steinberg

Voting rights at risk in ArizonaI am disgusted with the document sent to Maricopa County residents in the state of Arizona with their voter registration cards listing the wrong date for the presidential election. Similar tactics were used by the Republicans in the 2008 election in an attempt to steal the election and are a disgrace to the United States government and democracy.706 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Pamela Ash

Department of Justice: Investigate Ohio Voting Machines Linked to Tagg RomneyAccording to an article on PoliticolNews.com, Mitt Romney's son, Tagg, has close financial ties to Hart InterCivic, the company that owns electronic voting machines that will be used in Ohio for this election. The article also alleges that these machines are easily hacked. Not to mention, it's an obvious conflict of interest. Please sign this petition to get the Department of Justice to initiate an investigation into this issue before Election Day on November 6, 2012. Equal rights for all US CitizensCongress and the House have created over the years many rules and regulations that set them apart, and separate them legally from doing things the ordinary citizen would be jailed for. constitutional amendments can only be made by convening a constitutional convention according to Article V of the Constitution. That's either 2/3 of both houses of Congress or by Petition from 2/3 of the states. No convention has been called since 1787 when the constitution was ratified (If I remember). The chances are that no state legislature would submit such a petition as you propose (for obvious reasons of self-interest), and if it would, getting the other 37 states to comply. Right now there are about 34 or 35 states with petitions to hold a convention. Some have been there for decades, but can't get that 2/3rds. Here, take the time to check this out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convention_to_propose_amendments_to_the_United_States_Constitution Found this interesting, Children of congress member do not have to pay back their college student loans. How nice! Monday on Fox news they learned that the staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans. This will get national attention if other news networks will broadcast it. When you add this to the below, just where will all of it stop? 35 States file lawsuit against the Federal Government Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention. This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on. For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t 't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don 't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop. If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around. Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States."11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Garth Huntley
