As a 26 yr old male who recently "came out", I still have lot's of memories from college. Richmond, Kentucky was a where I spent my first two yrs of college. It's an amazing college town with the capability to positively impact the minds of thousands of young people who are very impressionable. Now living in San Francisco (and out) I have a much clearer picture of how humans should be treated no matter their race, gender, sexuality, etc.. I read this story from a Facebook post and felt sick to my stomach that these sort of incidents still happen in parts of the US. A lesbian couple taking photos in a public park in Richmond, Kentucky were kicked out by park officials for a mere kiss on the cheek during a photo shoot!! My letter of Complaint, Addendum & Summary to the Unitarian Universalist Association re: First Parish Church of Groton and Groton Housing Authority Collusion details 5 + years of retaliation for not mediating my divorce. Apparently, there's alot of money involved, which, if I get control of my assets, will be invested in Solar- & Wind-Powered Mass Transit & other socially responsible investments. Add to that STATE RELIGION which can take control of your personal assets because you have similar values based on church membership, reinforced by the local HOUSING AUTHORITY that allows church officials to search your home, and the Dept of Children & Families which can take your teenager out of your custody in retaliation for "committing the truth" by writing letters which expose the misdeeds of the movers-and-shakers.

This concerns every non-violent ex-felon who has "paid their debt to society" but cannot get a return of their civil rights nor have their records expunged. Under former Florida Governer Charlie Crist this process was streamlined as long as the person had a non-violent offense and met the requirements of the statute. Florida Governor Rick Scott, in an effort to prevent these individuals from voting changed the law almost immediately upon taking office.

I believe that the software used for elections should be created by an independent government agency and needs to be reviewed by impartial parties to insure there is no bias in the software toward either party.

Many states have passed "voter ID" laws to "curb voter fraud". There should be no law passed that would increase the difficulty of a legal voter to be able to cast his/her vote. There are very few cases of voter fraud reported in our ENTIRE Nation, and there is little if no evidence that leads even the most careful investigator to believe that any of these laws will "curb" the nearly-non-existent voter fraud. Also, there has been verbal acknowledgment by a Pennsylvania lawmaker that these laws have been enacted for political & partisan reasons.

Rick Perry is requesting for the Texas Citizens to pay for his campaign when he was running for president; we all know that was a disgrace to Texas. We should not be responsible for his personal decisions. Secondly, Rick Perry said he will not receive additional medicaid for the poor and the middle class citizens in the state of Texas. This is outrageous & not encouraging to our citizens that need help here. We need help in Texas because the rich continues to press their feet on our necks here and it is time to stop. The republicans have bullied us enough. 3rdly, Rick Perry said he will not allow the people of Texas to have any part of President Obama's Health Care plan. Rick Perry knows we need help and have always chosen to look over us as if we don't exist. He acknowledges the rich and he will only show his face with minority people of color when he is in the midst of a campaign trying to get votes by deceit; the same way Kaye Bailey Hutchinson is and has done as a Senator. We do not need him in office any longer. We need a Democrat. Someone that is willing to look out for all people not just the rich people.

The navy high frequency underwater sound-testing proposal for the next five years would destroy hundreds of thousands of dolphins and whales. This project must be stopped! The damage to ocean life would be devastating to all. Please don't kill the whales and dolphins in the sea. They are intelligent creatures...more that the Navy. They don't understand the important part these animals play in the world...especially with people with disabilities and scientists.

It is time to legalize marijuana. It is a racial issue. Set black men free from being jailed for providing medicine to people who need it.It is a social issue. Alcohol and meth and coke are evil. They break up families. My daughter needs her dad. Marijuana users need to chill. Put money used to jail people into programs for people to get off drugs, etc.

I am a child of holocaust survivors whose family was decimated by the German government. In 1933, the German government started to limit minorities' civil liberties including their right to vote. It was a dangerous path then as it is today. Our Democracy can not survive if the GOP's efforts to exclude peoples right to vote is ignored. Every American should be alarmed.

Police abusing laws that they think don't apply to them. The court system becoming a racketeering system for the US Government and agencies related to the US Government. We need our court systems to be about crimes, not racketeering!
