Last night at the Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy allowed Chris Brown, a convicted perpetrator of domestic violence, to take the stage and perform twice. Allowing this to happen on music's biggest night shows a lack of empathy and regard for victims of domestic abuse. If we cannot forbid lobbying, we must demand laws that limit lobbyists to their salesman roll. They can sell their goods but the lobbyists or the company or organization they represent cannot pass along bribes to our political leaders in any form. We must demand that this be considered bribery and punishable with very harsh prison terms to the lobbyist and CEO of the organization or company that he represents.

This petition is designed to express the concerns of Deaf persons in the Deaf community. What is of major concern is the way we have been treated by the majority in society. Specifically, there has been little - if any - input sought from Deaf persons concerning the use of cochlear implants. These devices have been used without the input of persons who are Deaf or who have an interest in the Deaf community. As a result, the rights of persons who are deaf have been infringed upon by the actions stemming from the prejudice and unverified assumptions of the cochlear implant industry. This is a violation of civil rights in the medical and/or surgical implementation of unfounded procedures. We need to stop implanting any children or Deaf children; that's what the whole issue is about. If you share this concern please sign below. We need to focus the proper management of tax dollars into more meaningful programs rather than war mongering, corruption, and greed. We need to funnel money into education, so teachers don't have to spend their own money to get needed supplies for their students, and college graduates aren't paying student loans forever...healthcare, so people are not dying needlessly...jobs and housing, so families do not lose their homes...clean, renewable energy and sustainable living as humans being, so we can have hope for the future without using up our resources...social security, so our seniors don't have to worry needlessly...and most of all, global peacemaking efforts, paying it forward with random acts of kindness so everyone can be who they are, and have what they need, all around the world.

The push to make Voter ID laws that are targeted at Poor, Ethnic, and Student voters is nothing more than a Poll Tax disguised as "Fraud Prevention." Making people pay for a State Authorized form of ID is a tool to disenfranchise people on limited or fixed income.

Indefinite detention of US citizens deprives us of due process otherwise established by our Constitution.

My petition is about improper foreclosure. I understand that thousands of people have been victimized. Move-on members should care because laws have been blatantly broken and the culprits not only refuse to accept culpability but are busy trying to bury the issue. Religious groups have until February 12, 2012 to move out of public schools and find their own venues of worship. These groups conduct services inside schools when classes are NOT in session, and is not catered towards the schools' students. The religious groups pay rent to the City of New York, and act as refuges for those who seek help. This does not go against the separation of Church and State in that the church has no influence in the state and vice versa for the state as well. Assembly Bill A8800 will give religious groups back the right to utilize school buildings during non-class hours. This bill must be passed as soon as possible. We do not have much time.
