This bill is a very bad idea in that it gives the employer undue power to control the employees work hours and pay.

The government makes employers carry unemployment insurance to help their employees that are off work and bodily able to work, yet they DO NOT require them to carry Disability Insurance which covers people who are off and CAN NOT work due to health reasons. You are not allowed to draw the unemployment if you are not able to work. So therefore you have no income while you are off sick. This is not a fair scenario. It is time to change this, as you can only get disability insurance through a payroll deduction. I was affected by this in June 2011 and June 2012 where I was off for 2 months both times with major surgery and had no income at all and lost everything I had, including my house, car, and furnishings.

13 banks did not place foreclosure victims in correct categories according to the Independent Foreclosure Review Remediation framework. This is the second Florida nursing home i've worked in that's been taken over by a corporation. Corporate takeover affects each and every one of us-staff and patients. The first thing corporations do, without any knowledge about caring for people, is to clean house. This is a people and not product-centered industry. We need to look at more than just numbers and figures on a piece of paper. As long as Corporate America is in charge, staff will continue to be overworked, underpaid and patients will continue to receive care that is sub-par!

H&M is opening a new store in Boulder, Colorado at the 29th Street shopping center. Recently, a factory making clothes for H&M collapsed in Bangladesh, crushing more than 900 people to death. H&M's corporate values do not match our local values. Keep them out of Boulder.

We the people who have the right to take charge of our financial responsibilities and demand the right to refinance our student dept. The student loans have turned in to a virtual debtor’s prison. We demand our rights to refinance to low insterst rate. The banks do not have the right to extort money from us for our hard work.

Currently, federal General Schedule employees that are not permanent are being released when their yearly renewal comes due. This affects those who have a term contract for a certain number of years that renews each year. Regardless of where an employee is within their term, the position is being cut when the yearly renewal comes up. There are many employees throughout the country that this is currently affecting, and can effectively shut down crucial departments that are mostly made up of employees under these terms. One such department is the Technology Integration division of the Army's prestigious Defense Language Institute in Monterey, Ca. This division creates interactive educational materials for soldiers learning foreign languages, which the US Government views as a critical expense. However, the broad, blind cuts will effectively shut down this division.
