• Tell Congress: Don't Pass a Farm Bill that Lets Monsanto Wipe Out State GMO Labeling Laws!
Monsanto has been poisoning our food and environment for nearly 20 years. Consumers are finally fighting back, by demanding labels on GMO foods. Will Monsanto try to take away our right to pass state GMO labeling laws? Monsanto already slipped a rider into the emergency Continuing Resolution, giving the biotech giant immunity from federal law. Now, there is talk of an amendment or rider to the 2013 Farm Bill that could take away states' rights to pass GMO labeling laws.

  • Cell phone charging you more for less services
I do not mind paying my bills for services on my cell phone. However more and more companies are getting Greedy and they are reducing services yet charging consumers more and more. This is Greed and this is what Cricket cell phone is doing. I have had them for several year paying the same amount each month. Now they have removed my directory assistance and now say I have to Pay more for the same services. In other words pay more for less. I say it is time us consumers stand up and stop the GREED. They are bleeding us dry. Greed is making us all poor.

  • Warner Bros. Needs To Be Transparent About Where Its Chocolate Comes From
Harry Potter chocolate receives an "F" in human rights, according to an independent report from Free2Work (http://thehpalliance.org/i/campaigns/nihn/behr-scorecard.pdf). Andrew Slack of the Harry Potter Alliance contacted Warner Bros., and received a statement that another report negated the "F" grade, but did not allow Harry Potter fans to see the report or understand why.

  • No Dark Money, No Dark Votes
Just as there's dark money in politics, there's dark votes. We need the votes out of the shadows and in the light. Both are forms of dark, non-transparent power. The House took a shadow vote and claimed there are not enough to pass HF 276 (SF 17) so no one had to go on record. Last Friday, May 10, the Minnesota House put off indefinitely voting on a bill that would have made Minnesota the 14th state to support a Constitutional amendment that corporations are not people and money is not speech. https://twitter.com/commoncausemn/status/332938707638288384 This petition will go to Minnesota Governor, Speaker of the House, and your Representative. HF 276: https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/bill.php?b=House&f=HF276&ssn=0&y=2013 2 representatives standing in the way: Jean Wagenius (District 63B) Phone: 651-296-4200 Rick Hansen (District 52A) Phone: 651-296-6828 Update Tue. 5/14: Talked to Sen. Tom Bakk at the Capitol who said they had already passed it. They did on 5/2. So all we need to do is get the House to vote on it and the Governor can sign it. https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/bill.php?f=SF17&y=2013&ssn=0&b=senate

  • Stop the TransPacific Trade Pact
The TPP is a trade pact that has been in the process of development by a handful of countries that seek to protect corporate rights at the expense of people and the planet. This pact would give corporations multitudes more power than The Citizens United legislation in the U.S. has provided.

  • Class action lawsuit against big oil, their lobbyist, senators and congressmen.
We bring a class action lawsuit against those who deliberately and with prior knowledge did create destruction of this entire planet, despite scientific evidence of the consequences of their actions. Motivated by greed, not unlike the tobacco industry, they have caused tremendous damage. The law suit would be on behalf of all persons 18 to 25 who have inherited this mess and will pay for it.

  • Regulation of Corporate charters.
At present all corporate charters are state charters. Example the Disney corporation is chartered in the state of Delaware. I am doubtful that disney has even 20 people living or working in the state of Delaware. however, they have tens of thousands in California and Florida. All multi-state and multi-national corporations should be required to have federal charters. Thereby regulation and oversite will be much easyer to administer.
