• Regulation of Corporate charters.
At present all corporate charters are state charters. Example the Disney corporation is chartered in the state of Delaware. I am doubtful that disney has even 20 people living or working in the state of Delaware. however, they have tens of thousands in California and Florida. All multi-state and multi-national corporations should be required to have federal charters. Thereby regulation and oversite will be much easyer to administer.

  • Defeat H.R. 1406 The Working Families Flexibility Act of 2013
This bill is a very bad idea in that it gives the employer undue power to control the employees work hours and pay.

  • Require employers to carry Disability Insurance, like they do Unemployment Insurance
The government makes employers carry unemployment insurance to help their employees that are off work and bodily able to work, yet they DO NOT require them to carry Disability Insurance which covers people who are off and CAN NOT work due to health reasons. You are not allowed to draw the unemployment if you are not able to work. So therefore you have no income while you are off sick. This is not a fair scenario. It is time to change this, as you can only get disability insurance through a payroll deduction. I was affected by this in June 2011 and June 2012 where I was off for 2 months both times with major surgery and had no income at all and lost everything I had, including my house, car, and furnishings.

  • Correct compensation for IFR victims
13 banks did not place foreclosure victims in correct categories according to the Independent Foreclosure Review Remediation framework. Compensation amounts received beginning April 12th did not match the categories for individuals. We demand that banks send out supplement checks to those that requested reviews!

  • Sick of Congress treating themselves like royalty and sticking it to those who vote them in to of...
Congress should never vote on their own pay/benefits package. Pay, Raises, Benefits are to be put on ballots and only the people, who elect them, decide what they are worth.

  • Stop Corporations From Taking Over the Healthcare Sector Now!
This is the second Florida nursing home i've worked in that's been taken over by a corporation. Corporate takeover affects each and every one of us-staff and patients. The first thing corporations do, without any knowledge about caring for people, is to clean house. This is a people and not product-centered industry. We need to look at more than just numbers and figures on a piece of paper. As long as Corporate America is in charge, staff will continue to be overworked, underpaid and patients will continue to receive care that is sub-par!
