• Aundra Grant: Factory Retirement
I am a factory worker who has developed Fibromyalgia and this condition is a constant health issue. Being able to retire at an early age will allow many to focus on their health treatment and not work with this debilitating condition while enduring the heavy work loads of today's society. Every job should be categorized for retirement age according to the types of work preformed, to ensure equal quality life for all U.S. workers.

  • Link all federal wage earners cost of living adjustments to the same formula used for Social Secu...
Social Security inflation adjustments are linked to the Consumer Price Index and some law makers are proposing a Sliding Consumer Price index for future Social Security inflation adjustments. To make inflation adjustments fair to ALL the law needs to be expanded to effect ALL federal wage earners to include military basic pay, housing allowance and subsistence allowance.

  • Congress Has 11 Safe Options
People in America need jobs which means the USA cannot wait another 4 years. Congress has options therefore there is no reason to repeat the performance of the past 4 years. Millions of jobs that cannot be outsourced will provide new economic growth thus squashing any Fiscal Cliff.

  • Make Fiscal Cliff a Referendum Issue
Decisions about taxes affect all of us, directly or indirectly. They are too important to be handled by representatives. We are urging congress and the president to allow all citizens to vote on what to do about the fiscal cliff situation. This decision should be made by the people, not a small group of those rich enough to run for office.

  • Cut Defense and Fed Gov pensions now
How to solve Fiscal Cliff. This is not about compromise. Bogus/Fraud Fiscal Cliff. The solution to the fiscal cliff is very simple defense and pensions make up 50% of the budget.  There should be no government pensions.  Phase out employee, non-elected the same way corporations and unions and city and state governments are reducing or eliminating them.  Private sector only has 401Ks sometimes no matching...you are lucky if you get 5 or 10% matching.  All elected gov officials city, state, and federal eliminate free health care and free pensions immediately and retroactively, no free travel expenses and no free housing expenses, no exceptions. Elected officials must sacrifice if they want to serve the people.  No double dipping on existing pensions....pick the best one that you are entitled.  The others are public money and wasteful spending that cheats ordinary Americans. www. usfederalbudget.us/federal_budget_detail_fy13 Matching 401Ks should be the most any governmental body should offer for retirement.  Do not cut social security or medicare.  They are mandatory deductions from pay that are allocated reserves that should not have been touched, mismanaged by deficit spending republicans.  Lifeline for the middle and low income Americans. stop making new rules that makes the tax code more complicated.  10% taxes for $300K and below, 40% for $300K and above, no deductions, no AMT, nada, you donate if you can afford it, look Zukerberg donated $100 mil to NJ schools and another $500 million to other causes, more net spending income for all Americans....the rich won't be affected....they have the means to earn more....the poor are stuck, eliminating credits and other exceptions is more of the same.  set a flat net income tax rate for small business and corporations....25% to 35%, no loopholes, downsize the IRS, cut funding to expenses funded by the general fund.  cut foreign aid, end wars, plan for natural disasters, cut all grants, expenses need to be  itemized and put up to a popular vote...50% of the federal budget is plenty of space to find cuts that won't hurt ordinary Americans.  The slew of worthless propositions, this is the real use for propositions, don't let those bribed elected politicians make spending decisions.  America can make them better.  Example, Prop 30 for Education and other critical expenses voted in by CA.

  • Recall Representatives
We elect "representatives" to work for the common good. There seems to be more interest in the Politics of Blocking and Bluster than in Solutions and Sensible Compromise. Let's Recall ALL those who won't cooperate. Promises to other Congressmen or lobbyists should not outweigh the wishes of "We, the People". Do your job...REPRESENT us or prepare to be RECALLED!

  • CUT SPENDING - BUT CUT THE RIGHT THINGS!
We all, every single person in the United States, have been affected detrimentally by Republican insistence for four decades to continue aiding and abetting corporate and wealthy incomes. This has been done with the promise of a trickle-down effect that never happened because of greed. Even now Republicans are attempting to patch up the mess they themselves caused, by acting as if the heavy majority of Americans approve of their actions. We don't. We also don't approve of Democrats backing down and giving in to Republican demands. Corporations are sitting on $Trillions, refusing to invest in new companies or to bring back companies they sent to foreign countries to take advantage of paying small incomes and avoiding taxes. We have to hold Congress and President Obama responsible for placing the responsibility of rebuilding our economy squarely on the shoulders of those who wrecked it - Republicans and Corporations.

  • President Obama Lead with Transparency on Fiscal Cliff
President Obama can clearly demonstrate to the world that he is just, fair, and the clear-headed mature leader of the free world by inviting congressional leaders to a negotiating meeting to decide on the Fiscal Cliff, with full press coverage allowed, on the condition that no one leaves the room until an acceptable deal is achieved while viewed by the entire world

  • Tax ammunition to pay for school security
The NRA suggests that an armed guard be present at every school in the country. We should tax all ammunition to pay for a police officer to be available at every school, mall movie theater, etc. Additionally, the tax should cover the cost incurred by gunshot victims, police and ATF due to guns. Shooting ranges and hunting lodges and other places that are able to account for all ammunition used should be exempt from this tax. Furthermore, the amount ammunition is taxed should be based on the percentage of crimes committed by that ammunition.
