Fracking threatens our water, our air, our farms, and our health—and it contributes to global warming.

My brother lives in southern Illinois and has conveyed to me his deep concern about the use of a method of oil extraction that will ultimately cause horrible environmental harm. It's clear that there will be scant and ineffective oversight over this profitable business venture for investors who will not be affected by this deplorable practice. HOWEVER, THE CITIZENS OF ILLINOIS WILL INEVITABLY SUFFER THE RESULTS OF TAINTED WATER TABLES! WE MUST CARE ENOUGH FOROUR "LAND OF LINCOLN" TO STOP THIS PRACTICE BEFORE IT BEGINS! IF NOTHING ELSE, THINK OF YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN, AS WELL AS THE FISH IN THE STREAMS AND ALL OF THE OTHER CREATURES WHO DEPEND UPON CLEAN WATER!

Please publicly support a fracking ban in California.

I am against fracking in Illinois There are too many concerns regarding fracking. 1) pollution 2) they come onto a person's property to obtain their product 3) heavy use of the water to obtain product.

Fracking does more damage to land, water and air than dirty coal. Residents should not have to fight this battle again! The damage already done in communities is readily documented and the environments' future is grim!

We have solar on our roof and do believe in renewable energy. The side effects of fracking onwater tables and earthquakes concern me. Also the fracking products sold abroad does nothing to reduce our prices

Congress has opened public lands for fracking in earthquake prone California. This dangerous practice also wastes millions of gallons of our precious water in the process and pollutes aquifers with chemicals. The harm is irreprable and must be stopped before it is allowed to happen.

Water resources are becoming ever more precious. We need to protect ours from those that would over use water in such questionable processes like fracking which could well become a serious danger to our environment.

The practice of 'fracking" , the pressurization of water mixed with chemicals to extract oil and natural gas, places our water supply and environment in great danger. Irreparable damage to our earth resources puts our lives in jeopardy.
