The popular vote result is the democratic way to elect a president. The electoral college is outdated and does not necessarily elect the person with the most votes. To let every voter know their vote counts, end the electoral college.

Federal taxation of the American people has been dishonestly reported since the Reagan Presidency. Honest rates of taxation of the American people would include all taxes paid--Social Security, medicare, income, gasoline, excise sales, and consumer paid corporate taxes.

Our current General Fund is in severe shortfall: services to children including their medical care are being threatened. Some lawmakers have signed a Norquist Pledge not to bring in new revenue with taxes-- we want them to pledge instead to do the right thing for the children of our state. The Hollywood Community Plan will diminish the quality of life for all residents -- current and future. Variances and established height limits to protect environmental impact will be waived. Coordination with emergency services, public transportation and community facilities is a MUST. This is a developer's dream. Developers will be able to Manhattanize Hollywood with residents having little recourse to object. The Plan is based on flawed data as the City of Los Angeles contends that the population of Hollywood will increase to 250,000 by 2030. When in fact it has steadily decreased -- more than 7% over the last 20 years -- with no indication of growth. Please hellp us make our goal.

What would the effects be if we had a campaign finance situation like this? Every elected official is legally required to actually say, " I can't take your money, if you are not a voter in my district." This would eliminate lobbyists' bribes and non-constituent influences.

Let lobbyists sell their programs without any gifts/money for our lawmakers. Allowing lobbyists to legally do this has corrupted our Republic/Government. The way it works now is that money/gifts win over what their constituents needs are.
