The following is the substance of my petition, ala the wonderful Warren Buffett. This would shake things up in DC like nothing else, and reward good, honest work while ridding America of the sludge in politics........ Congressional Reform Act of 2012 1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office. 2. Congress (past, present & future# participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose. 3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do. 4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. 5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. 6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people. 7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 1/1/13. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term#s), then go home and back to work.

This petition is an urgent message to our leadership . . . Stop and think! Veterans and Soldier have fought for the right to go to college using the GI Bill and have bled for this country. It would be poor judgement on behalf of our government to glorify one and disgrace the other, meaning if all college debt gets erased then our veterans, all of them, should receive 100% of their GI Bill back.

Because of Supreme Court rulings it is impossible to control the amount of money spent in campaigns. The only way to get the majority of federal politicians to care about the average man is to tie the income and investments of the Presdient, Congress, and high ranking federal officals to the average household income and networth.

This petition would initiate the procedure for a federal constitutional convention. It is clear that Washington is broken; lawmakers are corrupt or dysfunctional, and that the good of the country is not what is deemed important by many of our elected or appointed officials.

To allow governing bodies, municipal clerks, and board of election commissioners to designate alternative multi-site location(s) for which electors may request absentee ballots and to vote absentee in elections.

Once appointed, and in the absence of wrongdoing, Supreme Court Justices can serve for the rest of their lives. Their terms can run 30, 40 or even 50 years. The demographics and the culture of the United States changes so rapidly, and the Justices' ideas are often out of synch with the country's culture. There should be a limit on the number of years a Supreme Court Justice can serve

In recent presidential elections we have seen instances where a candidate who failed to win a majority of the popular vote was elected President because he won the majority of the votes of the electoral college. Based on population, some states or some combination of states mgiht have more electoral college votes than others, and in these instances these states can influence the outcome of the election despite the will of the popular majority.

Term Limits is about restoring the vitality of Congress and to limit the opportunity for coziness and corruption that has mired our system of government.

My petition is get better laws against deadbeat parents who receive SSI benefits from the government. My son's father owes more that $30,000.00 in back child support, but the state that I live in will not persue him or enforce him to pay because he receives SSI benefits. Why is the government allowing this? Why should parents getting benefits not have to take care of their responsibilities?

One party should not be able to vote in the other party's primary. The primary is for the purpose of choosing your party's candidate. It is not so you can choose a weak candidate for your party to run against. If you aren't a member of that party you shouldn't have a vote.
