Missouri Must Participate in Medicaid ExpansionThe Federal Government will cover 100% of the cost for the first 3 years, Missouri’s medical systems will suffer the loss of $4 Billion resulting in the loss of ability to provide many of the services it provides to the citizens of the state. Missouri’s taxpayers’ dollars will go to other states to provide enhanced medical coverage for people elsewhere.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lynn Suydam

Suffering with Lyme Disease with no medical treatment provided!I have become disabled by a disease that started by a tick bite 15 years ago. I have learned that my case is not unique and that Lyme disease is an epidemic in our country that is caught in a medical -politically motivated nightmare. Thousands are needlessly suffering and dying from lack of medical care.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jean Elizabeth

Senate Bill 126 and House Bill 79 Mammogram ReportsWhen the Florida legislature returns for the regular 2013 session (March 5, 2013 – May 3, 2013) it will again consider proposed legislation (Senate Bill 126 and House Bill 79) to require that mammography reports include a statement disclosing breast density. Depending on a woman’s risk factors, being informed of the presence of dense breast tissue affords the opportunity to seek additional testing and possibly early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Janet Jennings

Support the Comprehensive Immunosuppressive Drug Coverage for Kidney Transplant Patients ActI had a kidney transplant in 2012. The current Medicare coverage, for assisting with anti-rejection meds, is limited to 36 months after the transplant. People without private medical coverage will generally not be able to afford the meds ($1500-3000 per month) after the Medicare coverage ends in 36 months, and will lose their new kidney, end up on dialysis, and back on Medicare to cover the higher cost of dialysis.33 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Parnell

Require Hospitals to provide third party names to patients for provided services!I pay ALL of my bills on time, but I can't pay a bill to someone that I don't know I owe, for a service I may not know was performed, for a reason I am unaware of. Hospitals use third party services all of the time and should be required to inform the patient of such services so that we may pay our bills on time and avoid late fees or even collections! I have experienced this after a hospital stay and am having trouble seeing who all I owe. My insurance doesn't give me the information, but says I have bills that they have paid partially on, and I have still not received any bills. I called the hopsital and they told me they have no information to give me to help me out. I have never been late on any type of payment and I am scared I will have a late bill or possibly even collections. Hospitals should be required to state any third party service they use in your itemized bill or, at the very least, upon patient request.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lindy Johnson

Stop Privatization of Medicaid in FloridaThe Florida Legislature is meeting today to vote on privatization of Medicaid. This will have a serious detrimental effect on those who rely on these programs for health care. In addition, this may be the "pilot program" to privatization of other programs such as Medicare and Social Security.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Marcella Oliveri
