TRICARE rates for retirees continue to increase in spite of healthcare changes in this country. TRICARE is a health care program that provides coverage to active duty, National Guard and Reserve service members and their families worldwide. The law requires retired reserve members to pay the full cost of coverage under TRR with no government subsidy. That cost is slightly decreased from the 2012 rates but one must consider that these rates are far above HMO and PPO rates that retired members could purchase on their own without using TRICARE. The disparity between rates for active duty retired service members and retired reserve service members is outrageous. The FY 2013 enrollment fees, effective October 1, 2012 for retired reserve members are as follows: (Tricare, 2012). Individual: $402.11 per month Member and Family: $969.10 per month The FY 2013 enrollment fees for retired active duty service members effective October 1, 2012, are as follows: Individual: $269.28 per year Family: $538.56 per year We must speak out and let our voices be heard. As retired members of the military, we should have some government subsidy to help us have access to healthcare that is affordable. Why is there such a disparity between active duty retired rates and those of retired reserve rates? Many reservists in this country have been mobilized many times in support of the war efforts and ongoing needs of the country. In spite of this, retired reserve members that have completed 20 years or more of service must pay enrollment fees that make it impossible for many of us to afford healthcare. Just as many media personalities refer to Our President as "Obama" without the appropriate respectful prefix, the healthcare reforms enacted in the Affordable Care Act have been disparaged as "Obamacare". It is time for this to stop. We're calling on all media outlets to stop using the President's name in a derogatory fashion and refer to the Health Care reform respectfully, and as it is actually named -- the Affordable Care Act. Governor Rick Scott has been advocating against Obamacare for Florida and its citizens. Florida citizens sign the petition to tell Governor Scott and the Florida legislature to allow Obamacare for all Florida citizens.

There is a growing awareness that something is not quite right. We know the importance of choosing to eat healthy foods and how that decision effects our long term health. We're also coming to understand that the same decision has a direct effect on our environment.

The HIV treatment and prevention landscape has changed dramatically in the last few years, thanks in part to the support of members of Congress. We know the end of HIV is in sight, but we haven't crossed the finish line yet. Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AAs and NHPIs) are still the least likely race or ethnicity to get tested for HIV--even in a world with health care reform, a unified National HIV/AIDS Strategy, and promising new approaches to HIV treatment and prevention. We think that's unacceptable. And it won't help us "end HIV" for our communities. This World AIDS Day (Dec 1), challenge your Senators or Representatives to stand up for AAs and NHPIs in the fight to end AIDS. Remind them to be our advocates when making HIV and public health policy decisions. Because AAs and NHPIs get HIV, too. And WE COUNT!

We live in West Dallas, Texas, for 18 years where the lead plant fill the air with lead for miles around it. They paid some of the people and have been stalling to pay the rest of us, no matter how many time we filled out the paper work for lawyers, but have not got paid. They paid the first set of people in 1968.

Every year the president pardons a pair of turkeys on Thanksgiving and then sits down to a large meal including turkey for dinner. End this hypocrisy by urging the Obama family to set the right example for American by eating an all vegan meal on Thanksgiving. As a country the United States continues to become more obese, and have some of the highest rates of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, breast and prostate cancer, and osteoporosis in the world despite having some of the best medical technology. All of these health issues have been found to be related to the consumption of animal protein in our diet. Many of these can be prevented and some even reversed with a vegan diet. The Obama family can set the tone for lower medical costs and better health in America by consuming a compassionate all vegan Thanksgiving dinner. Please join me in asking the Obama family to have an all vegan Thanksgiving dinner.

Officials elected on the federal level receive lifetime healthcare. Better healthcare than the average citizen receives.
