• Please update the Range Rover Infortainment system
I'm a big fan of the Range Rover brand and the infortainment system is the only thing that keeps it from being the best vehicle on the market.

  • Support CAAT
I am trying to start a petition to stop all animal testing! John's Hopkins is doing research for it and I would like to help to provide more funding so this research can be done. They are in the process of researching alternatives they just need the funding. Showing how many people are concerned about this will really help spread the awareness.

  • Citizens Against McCalla Apartments Case #1327
Due to recent crime, continuing criminal activity, current road infrastructure's inability to handle additional residential traffic, inability of all three already overcrowded McAdory schools to handle the extra influx of students, concern for our children and our property values in the McCalla area, we, the citizens of McCalla are opposed to any apartment complex being built in our immediate zoning area.

  • Mandatory Privacy Settings for Minors on Social Media
According to Social Media Today over 5 million Facebook users are under the age of ten. We are looking to protect minors using social media platforms who are easily influenced by advertisers and not cognitively developed yet. Social media publicity can be dangerous for children by sharing information and photos without the child realizing the implications. Many parents are unaware of their child's online activities that could put them in potential danger. We want to change the environment so that it is safer for our children.

  • Stop the Roundup of Wild Horses
There are currently more wild horses in captivity than in the wild. Over 80% of Western rangeland is leased to cattle and sheep ranchers, leaving only a small portion designated for wild horses and burros, in clear violation of the Free-Roaming Wild Horses and Burros Act. Congress should reinstitute the Act and stop the BLM roundups.

  • Anime channel/network on US television!
I feel that since we have food networks, sci-fi networks, movie networks, etc. we should have a television channel dedicated to anime! It's only fair to those anime lovers who have to watch their shows on the internet! But I'm not talking "4Kids" style! I mean anime's such as Steins;Gate, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Attack On Titan, you name it! There are very few anime's aired in the US, and that's an outrageously low amount!

  • Save our native wild horses
Taxpayers are paying for cruel native wild horse roundups in the West--where Big Oil wants to Frack for oil and natural gas--and needs water to do so. A lot of natural gas will be sold to Asia, to make electricity. During and after roundups many wild horses are injured: foals are often killed and many mares miscarry their babies. Currently 50,000 native wild horses are stockpiled in holding, at-risk of going to slaughter, and should be returned to live on public land. Less than 18,000 indigenous wild horses are estimated to be living in freedom now. The National Academy of Sciences reported there is "No Evidence" of overpopulation. www.ProtectMustangs.org has called for population studies with a moratorium on roundups yet Congress is turning a deaf ear. Is the Oil and Gas Lobby influencing our democracy? Indigenous horses fill their ecological niche on public land. They help to reverse desertification, reduce risk of wildfires and create biodiversity for many species to thrive. Please help protect our native wild horses before the herds are destroyed.

  • Keep Cars off the Terrace
Frequently Asked Questions 1. Why is this issue important? The Hunterdon Art Museum Terrace was reopened on November 29th, after a long and costly renovation. This beautiful spot is a perfect setting for public and private events. Keeping the Terrace car-free will protect and enhance the charm of Clinton and ultimately draw more visitors who will shop, dine and enjoy our community. 2. Who owns the Terrace? The Terrace is owned by the Hunterdon Art Museum and located in downtown Clinton along the South Branch of the Raritan River. 3. Is the Terrace open to the public? The Art Museum allows free public access to the site except when the Museum is using it for private events. 4. Why is parking being considered? Parking and easy access to downtown Clinton are important issues. Prior to the recent expansion, parking was permitted on part of this site. Current approved plans call for 8 parking spaces to be constructed. When the Terrace was completed, Museum Trustees and others recognized the beauty of the Terrace and applied to the Clinton Planning Board for a variance to keep the Terrace car-free. 5. Could the Terrace still be used if parking was allowed? It could, but the space available for public use would be reduced greatly. The area where cars would park would be directly behind the best site to view the Red Mill and dam. Parking on the Terrace would create safety issues, and limit the type and scope of events that could be organized. While everyone wants more parking, the advantages of keeping the Terrace car-free far outweigh the economic benefits of 8 additional parking spots. 6. What type of public events could be held on the Terrace? We envision everything from impromptu concerts and performances to outdoor yoga classes, drum circles and story-telling sessions. The Terrace is also the perfect spot for young and old to sit by the river on a lazy summer afternoon and enjoy all that Clinton has to offer. 7. Who started this petition? The petition was started by Town of Clinton residents, not by staff and Trustees of the Hunterdon Art Museum. 8. When will the decision be made? Petitions will be presented to the Town of Clinton Council, Planning Board and Board of Adjustment on December 16th. We hope a decision will be made that night. Please consider attending and showing your support. The meeting begins at 7:00pm at the Town of Clinton Municipal Building, 43 Lehigh Street, Clinton, NJ. 9. Where can I find pictures of the Terrace? Search for Charming Clinton on Facebook to see pictures and continue the discussion. The Hunterdon Art Museum may also post pictures of the Terrace on their web site.
