Stop the Python BanS. 373 proposes to end interstate commerce of 7 large python species, and makes possession of these species illegal by adding them to the Lacey Act. This will have unintended consequences of killing jobs in the pet industry, as well as spurring owners to get rid of their now-illegal pets by any means, including releasing them into the wild, wich would worsen the invasion of these species into the ecosystems of the United States.24 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ryan Shofner

Save Alki Crab and Fish Co.Seattle Parks and Recreation has decided to give the lease of what is currently Alki Fish and Crab Company and Alki Kayak Tours and Adventure Center to an "undisclosed recipient'. This simply won't do! Eric Galanti has been there for us with great food, hot chocolate, ice cream, and even just this year the new "Dive Bar" (since its one of the most popular scuba diving sites in the Seattle Metropolitan area.. Yvonne and the other owners of the business were very helpful and supportive in the placing of an AED for shoreline & diving emergencies in memory of a diver who passed away a couple years ago. (a project spearheaded by local diver Doug Marcoux and his dive buddies) We have printed a paper copy of the petition and dropped it off at the register at Alki Crab and Fish Co. There will be blank pages for signatures for folks who don't want to sign online petition. We can't let this place be shut down! Thank you for your support!1,171 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Laura James

Giving the U.S. back to USThe United States is for and by the people and even if some of "us" don't really feel that way or their/our hearts aren't as open, and their thinking is limited, I feel that those of us who do feel that way and hearts are very open, should not mind what the others do. So, with that said, if everyone, even the children all over the U.S. gave $5/10 or more to the National Debt, for Christmas, it would be paid. We can all easily afford that and if we realize that it is what we do that counts, not what "they do", it may open the eyes of everyone concerned and humble them completely. Let's take care of our Nation ourselves and instead of giving another small gift to one person that may soon be forgotten, let's give a huge gift to US, the people of the United States, our Nation and it will never be forgotten14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Wanda Roth

End Mandatory Cell Data PlansI believe that it is wrong for Cell phone companies to continually charge consumers for Cell Data plans when FREE Wi-Fi is a better solution for many. Why should I have to pay $30 or more per month to enjoy the latest in Smart Phones or the iPhone? If Apple can make an iPod Touch that does exactly everything the iPhone does but just can't make calls then I am sure that the technology is there for one to be able to use WiFi or the DATA plan17 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Richard Strauss

Anti Horse SlaughterThis is to prevent the opening of slaughter houses that President Obama has given the go ahead to re -establish and to put a halt to horses being transported to Mexico and Canada to the processing plants. The slaughter houses are being re-opened to provide employment and the meat sent overseas to Japan and France . The medications our horses have had throughout their lifetimes renders them unfit for human consumption. Tax the !% and hold our corporations accountable, enforce them to make jobs available for Americans not Mumbai, China etc, bring back our jobs from abroad . It's criminal to kill when the solution of unemployment lies with government and corporate greed. The bill passed to re-open slaughter houses is totally bogus. Please don't murder our four legged friends who have fought on the front lines , transported caskets for our fallen soldiers , plowed our fields, carried us along in carts, made us cash winnings at the races and generally given us all round pleasure . Our horses don't die instantly at slaughter , they endure extreme terror and torture . Lets not allow such cruelty. Surely we are not a nation of such insanity . .82 of 100 SignaturesCreated by kathryn ireland

Protect our HorsesThe only bi-partisan bill passed by Congress and signed by President Obama allows for the slaughter of horses for consumption. These animals are not bred for food. These compatriots helped us settle this country pulling wagons, plowing fields, carrying the mail, herding cattle and charging with us into battle. These animals are highly intelligent, communicating by telepathy. We are losing horses, polar bears, sea otters, seals, tigers, elephants, big apes. If you care about animals, stop the gratuitious slaughter of horses.20 of 100 SignaturesCreated by e.d.Barber
