• Please Stop President Obama from touching Social Security
I am disabled and worked for about 30 years starting at the age of 16 and had to pay into Social Security from that time until I was no longer able to work. And with cuts to Social Security, I can't afford the common necessities. Because I have to pay higher prices for gasoline, food, and if my income decreases, it will be even harder to survive. I've already be affected by The Sequester and have to pay more for rent living in HUD Subsidized Housing for Seniors and Disabled Persons.

  • No cuts to Social Security
This is about President Obama's proposal to change the way cost of living increases are calculated for retirees on Social Security. As a person dependent on less than $900 Social Security, the proposed "chained CPI" would decrease cost of living increases for me and my fellow retirees and make those among the least able responsible for decreasing the deficit. This terrible idea should be rejected.

  • Social Security Reform
I believe that getting our fiscal house in order is a prudent and necessary step towards long term stability and strength. However, cutting benefits in social security should not be considered an option. This is a social contract between the Government and its' citizens.

  • Do Not Cut Social Security
I have paid into Social Security for over 30 years, and I need the small amount I receive each month. Certainly there are other ways to get the money you need from people who have the money to spare. Obama keeps taking from the "little" people. We are just getting by.

  • DO NOT CUT SOCIAL SECURITY
Social Security is not the right place to address the deficit. Tell Obama and your fellow members of Congress not to support any cuts in Social Security and not to change the way cost of living increases for retirees are calculated. My parents are in their 80's and I'll soon retire - so we don't need this cut into how we sustain our lives and pay our bills. FYI - I don't want my parents eating dog food.

  • Do Not Cut Social Security
It is about Social Security. Me and my older family are all on Social Security benefits and struggle month to month. We have paid into this system since the first day we worked. Please don't do this to us. Please don't mess with the Medicare also. This is how we survive as an older senior citizens of the USA. It is just wrong to change our income and medical benefits and it is also wrong for the senior citizens of the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Save Medicare From Further Cuts!
Yes, due to sequestration which was allowed to come about via the ineptness of the Republicans in Congress, my husband was laid off his engineering job of over 30 years. We had to go on Medicare due to better, but higher costing medical plans. Try finding a doctor that will accept Medicare---the present payment cuts are bad enough, and now The Pres. and Congress plan to make even deeper payment cuts? This is a disgrace for so many Americans---and yet, who really seems to care?
