Ted Leonsis: The Washington Wizards need a changeFans of this team have suffered enough. Ernie Grunfeld has shown that he's incapable of constructing a team that can compete in today's game. He hasn't made a single move in the past five years that has shown any promise, outside of elite talents which were given to him in Wall and Beal, he's always dealing from behind in trades. What talent we do possess is being squandered by a vastly inferior coaching staff.59 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Chris Carpenter

We want the CIH Waiver in Indiana to cover GPS devices for Autistic Individuals!I am the mother of an autistic son who likes to wonder off. I have tried to get help from the waiver, paying for a device that would keep track of where my son is at in case he wonders, and would also alert me if he got a certain distance away for his own safety. It would also allow him to do small things somewhat independently without sacrificing his safety. Many autistic individuals go missing and are harmed needlessly.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Alicia

Tony Rackauckas DA: Drop charges against victim of hate!A victim of bullying, and race and sex discrimination at Tustin High School was suspended for 5 days after attempting to protect himself from his attacker. The orange county district attorney subsequently filed battery charges against the victim not the attacker. What type of message is this sending to the victims of bullying and hate? Let them know that this is not ok by signing this petition.20 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kimberly Ayala

STOP 1576PA Bill 1576 was proposed by Senator Pyle for easy land development. The bill allows the created Independent Regulatory Review Commission to "evaluate" Fish and Game's list of endangered species. By the bills order, the committee cannot protect any endangered species not already protected on the federal protected species list. This action removes most of PA's endangered species from protection. This committee is influenced by the gas and timber industries, thereby allowing companies to profit at the expense of our species and land. The hydraulic fracturing, drilling, and clear cutting following suite also presents major health concerns. To add species to the protected list will be near impossible because the new committee's process is designed to benefit profiteering.323 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Joseph J. Boyle

Human Trafficking: SlaveryHuman Sex Trafficking is the coercive act of movement or non-movement of persons, used for the profit, in exchange for sex or labor. It is personal to me because I have been a victim. The problem is getting worse and worse. The human rights of a person should be America's top priority. Make unpaid labor illegal. Stop censoring public awareness. Respect the victim's rights with regard to privacy. Do not criminalize the victim. Enforce the law against every trafficker!87 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Brittany Clark

Anti-SLAPP Legislation - strategic lawsuit against public policyHi, We the people in the state of Florida and everywhere should protect our right to free, responsible speech. There are businesses who threaten people with lawsuits with the sole purpose to shut them up and they succeed because attorneys can run as high as $300/hour. That type of lawsuit is called SLAPP – strategic lawsuit against public policy. You can read details of my case in: http://whatintegrity.biz.ht Florida has an anti-slapp legislation but applies only to government and associations and not businesses. It should include everyone. No one should be afraid to speak the truth. Please sign my petition. Without a sense of caring, there is no sense of community. Without a sense of justice, there can be no civilization. Thank you.56 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Margit Ma

Give the Doolittle Raiders a Congressional Gold MedalMy father was a pilot in the Royal Air Force flying over Europe while the Doolittle Raiders were flying over the Pacific. We can never adequately repay the debt of gratitude owed to these men. The Congressional Gold Medal is the very slightest token of respect we should expect for them.18 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bill Bishop

Stop Human Trafficking: It's Slavery. Many Americans believe slavery ended over a century ago. Although it is no longer legal, or socially accepted, it never ended. Slavery no longer manifests in a traditional sense. It does not look the way it did during the 300 year Transatlantic Slave Trade. Today Slavery takes the form of the business of human trafficking. It is modern day slavery. There are more than 27 million individuals who are victims of human trafficking. It is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world. The business of Human Trafficking generates approximately 32 billion dollars a year in profits, second only to that of the international drug trade. Experts estimate that in America alone, there are over 100,000 children who are sexually exploited every year. Yet, law enforcement locates less than 2% of these children every year. If they are found, these children are often charged with crimes and treated as criminals. Perpetrators of this heinous crime prey on children with low self-esteem, which places many children at risk, and makes them vulnerable to becoming victims of sex and labor trafficking. The perpetrators of Human Trafficking abuse children physically, psychologically and emotionally through manipulation and force. We need to change our social perceptions, and see these children as helpless victims. Changing legislation will help change these perceptions, and provide the necessary support, and safe harbor that American children deserve. Sign this petition to support Senate Bill 75 so we can better identify the victims, and prevent, prosecute and protect our children from this organized abuse.10,121 of 15,000 SignaturesCreated by Kimberly Kaelin
