Congress has lost its way. They are ruining our country. How can they justify getting paid themselves but take away food and formula from children? Shame on them. They should all resign.

I am sick of fat rich politicians wreaking havoc on common people struggling to survive. They vote to pay themselves for not doing anything! We put them there, we pay them for being there, it's their choice to walk out -- why should we pay them?

I'm just a swim mom, frustrated with the lack of importance being placed on the quality of our pools. The Parks, Recreation and Trails Advisory Board is making a crucial decision this month regarding their recommendations to the Borough Assembly. Please share this with everyone you know who can help us be heard. These pools are utilized by lap swimmers, swim lessons, water safety classes, highschool swimmers, and competative swimmers. If we don't speak up, the resolution could be killed and nothing solved!!!!

While some colleges have been in the news lately for cutting funding for financial aid programs or being in cahoots with banks and profiting off of students, these five colleges have raised their hands in support of students and making college affordable: Union College, Roger Williams University, Portland State University, Washington State University, and Ohio State University. By supporting efforts to make college more affordable for students, these colleges and universities acknowledge that costs have grown unsustainably. No two institutions are identical, and not every solution will look the same. But every institution of higher education needs to do something to ease the burden of student debt — and these institutions are committed to doing just that.

Chicago is a city that is turning more violent by the day. Adults need to use common sense so as not to needlessly endanger children. Having two different high schools so close together will cause a friction that does not need to be there. This whole situation could be defused by moving the site of the charter school by a few city blocks.

This petition is the only thing I can think to do that both expresses my displeasure about today's state of affairs in Washington, DC, and proposes what I believe is a completely reasonable solution. I have already sent an open letter to members of the delegation through their websites or Facebook pages. But, of course, they'll feel free to ignore a plea from a single constituent--no matter how enraged he is by their irresponsible behavior.

I am starting this petition because as a hard working, tax paying American citizen; I can no longer just watch this incompetence on television! I am an employee that is barely paid for a job well done, at the same time I am an employer who elected/hired members of This Congress and paying significant amounts taxes for a job barely done. Elena's dedication in ensuring that the MoveOn army would be fed deserves a big golden crown and a walnut-burl-backed plaque of appreciation, so the least we can do is give her an arbitrary (and permanent) title to honor her commitment.

We, the American People, are exasperated and exhausted after watching the political machinations of those who are interested in maintaining their clout in the name of doing what the constituents want. We want a hero, someone who's not afraid to compromise. We want someone who's willing to cross that aisle and make some hard choices without worrying about fallout from the GOP or the Democratic machine. Don't hold out on us. And, by the way, we're smarter than we look; we can smell the arsonist-firefighter a mile away.
