President Obama and the House leadership are pressing hard for a vote to let the President launch military attacks. We need to push back if we want our Congresswoman to resist the call for war.

President Obama is poised to send air strikes to Syria under allegations Assad has used chemical weapons. There has been zero evidence presented to the American people of Assad's involvement. On the contrary, there are reports the "attack" was actually due to rebel forces mishandling chemicals sent by Saudi Arabia. Military intervention will neither protect nor defend the people of Syria and will only create more enemies in the Middle East. The U.S. public does not support military intervention.

Late last week, Dr. Beverlee Nix, a veterinarian with the Texas Department of State Health Services, suggested that animal control agencies throughout the state use an agenda-driven article to justify putting an end to managed colonies of community cats. However, the best way to protect public health is by vaccinating community cats, which is standard practice in the numerous trap/ neuter/return programs in place across the country. Prohibiting managed colonies, on the other hand, undermines such efforts and jeopardizes community health by increasing the number of unsterilized, unvaccinated outdoor cats – thus increasing the risk of rabies transmission. As a Texas resident, I am concerned about the well-being of my fellow community members as well as the manner in which animals are treated. For this reason, I wholeheartedly support the trap/neuter/return (TNR) method of free-roaming cat population management. Please help to protect community cats and public health though out Texas.

Our community is proud of our children and our school. Why should we bus our children 3 miles to another school? Why should our children spend 45 minutes on a bus when most of us walk or can drop them off quickly? What about our children's feeling of security knowing they will be at one school for grades K-5. Our children love their school and teachers and would be upset that they have to be apart from their siblings. Many of us moved into this District because Waterbury is K-5. Let's keep our community, families and school together at Waterbury!

Syrian dictator Assad's use of Chemical Biological Weapons must be condemned; however military attack on Syrian troops is wrong. Assad and his CBW Suppliers must be held accountable; but not by adding injury to their victims. Our only moral response is to reject this false "Hobson's Choice" (military action or nothing) - demanding more civil options. Even shaming Assad and international CBW Providers by long open debate is preferable to adding more destruction.

On July 26, Superior Court Judge Stephen L. Perk overturned the Orange County Board of Supervisors’ approval of the gated 65-unit Saddle Crest housing tract in Trabuco Canyon and plan amendments that raised the traffic ceiling on Santiago Canyon Road and repealed oak tree and open space protections. On September 10, the Board will consider whether to join the Saddle Crest developer in appealing Judge Perk’s decision. Before the September 10 deadline, please urge the supervisors NOT to appeal the court’s sound decision upholding the laws that protect our rural canyon areas.

To remind the congress, and the president, that forming a more perfect Union begins with the people, and with prudent steps to establish fact, and effective action to deescalate hostility while simultaneously ending and prosecuting criminal humanitarian actions.

Since there is more information on chemical harassment, it is time to make an action to stop the creation of these chemicals and to stop this behavior of spraying the environment and indoors to disable .The creators of these chemicals have discovered the Pathway from the lungs to all parts of the body. These chemicals are focused on any part to disable. The chemicals get into the Respiratory System then in the Nervous System to cause pain and disability, plus into any Vital Organ to disable and cause death to its victims. I am affected by these chemicals and so are my friends and acquaintances plus others. This behavior has caused some of my friends to die because of their faulty Vital Organs which was attacked by these chemicals. This chemical harassment affects animals, my cats died and so was a harasser's cat. This chemical harassment must be stopped and the chemicals must be assessed and tested for the sake of Humanity. This is happening in a few States in America so it is vital that this behavior is stopped so that others will be aware of it and follow suit.

The parents of Ramarley Graham, with the support of the citizens of the City of New York, hereby implore the United States Attorney’s Office and the Department of Justice to prosecute Richard Haste and others for the grievous civil rights violations which resulted in the tragic and senseless death of Ramarley Graham. Last week, it was reported that Federal prosecutors will review evidence for possible civil rights violations in the death of Ramarley Graham, who was 18 years old and unarmed when he was fatally shot by police officer Richard Haste. On August 7, the charges were dropped against Haste. This letter is to ask that priority be placed on the Justice Department's review so that charges may be filed and justice served by Richard Haste going to prison for what he has done. For Ramarley Graham, we will not go away and our voices will not diminish nor be muted. We need your help.

Richmond, California has Wall Street terrified. The City is planning to help some of the 46% of city homeowners currently underwater by offering to buy distressed loans from the Wall Street bankers who own them, then reset the mortgages to current market value. If the banks refuse, the City will consider using eminent domain to acquire the loans, still paying fair market value to the banks. This historic action is called Local Principal Reduction, and if it works in Richmond, it could help stop the housing crisis around the country. On August 7, Wells Fargo and Deutsche Bank filed a baseless lawsuit and began a campaign of intimidation to scare Richmond out of standing up for homeowners. Tell the Richmond City Council to keep moving forward with the Richmond CARES program and not bow to Wall Street intimidation.

My daughter along with 3 other victims have been the target of a "sexual crime" & "sexting" case with one of their previous teachers. The teacher is married to an attorney and this we believe has made this man able to "cut through" the system in a manner that is un ethical. He may serve no prison time for having sex with a 15 year old as well as praying on the lives of the other girls.
