If the US President the most powerful person in the world can only serve two terms, then why is it that the US House and US Senate can serve for life?.

Though this has been in existence since the 1970's Nixon era Congress, the 112th Congress has recently given the Secret Service expanded (read: SWEEPING) powers to declare a protest illegal and arrest people, including FELONY CHARGES for protesters. The First Amendment has been repealed.

Much of the country is looking at the worst fire season ever. Congress has cut the funding to hire seasonal firefighters, which will leave us with overworked and dangerously tired firefighters, and billions of dollars lost in natural resources, homes and lives.

The president made a campaign promise to shut down this infamous jail where nine "detainees" have died and many have been tortured. Many prisoners are now on a hunger strike in response to the desperation and frustration they feel over the failure to close Guantanamo.

Nike is using sweatshops to make their clothes and shoes. Nike workers get paid less than 10 cents am hour. They also get abused both verbally and menatly. Help us tell the CEO of Nike to stop committing this mistreatment.

Prevent the illicit trading of blood diamonds in Africa. Boycott jewelers that can't guarantee that their diamonds are legal and not blood diamonds. Donate money to organizations that are against the blood diamond industry.
