I was terminated from Zaxby's Restaurant on Allen Rd. after working there for 7.5 years. I was hired there in 2005 as an assistant manager, and after 1 year became a general manager, which I remained for the remaining 6.5 years. I was terminated on August 25, 2012. I was told by one of the owners that I was fired because I wasn't working the required 50 hr. work week (which I've always done). I worked more than 50 hrs. every week, and sometimes I didn't take a full 7 days vacation. My job was my first priority, next to church. I would never do anything to jeopardize that. I've always worked hard at everything I do. I was known as the strict manager; following rules and going by the book. I witnessed unfair treatment of crew and managers because of the color of their skin, so after complaining to one of the owners back in April 2012 my job was threatened. After pleading my case I received an apology and I was told everything was ok and I still had my job. But even though he apologized and acted as though he understood, he held on to this and terminated me on aug. 25, 2012, which was four months later. He probably wouldn't have kept me that long, but he had just fired another black manager. So all the general managers employed now are white. They are very disrepectful to crew, curse at them, date them, use racial slurs and target black individuals by drug testing them to get rid of them, even if there are white individuals coming to work "high" and known drug users. They basically do whatever they want and nothing happens to them. This has been going on for years and it has to stop now!

Sign this petition and encourage allowing the fiscal cliff deadline to hit, and the President's re-election promise to allow the Bush-era tax breaks for the wealthy to expire. The deadline draws near, December 31, 2012. This may take sacrifice on the part of middle class citizens, but it is past time to stand our ground.

How to solve Fiscal Cliff. This is not about compromise. Bogus/Fraud Fiscal Cliff. The solution to the fiscal cliff is very simple defense and pensions make up 50% of the budget.  There should be no government pensions.  Phase out employee, non-elected the same way corporations and unions and city and state governments are reducing or eliminating them.  Private sector only has 401Ks sometimes no matching...you are lucky if you get 5 or 10% matching.  All elected gov officials city, state, and federal eliminate free health care and free pensions immediately and retroactively, no free travel expenses and no free housing expenses, no exceptions. Elected officials must sacrifice if they want to serve the people.  No double dipping on existing pensions....pick the best one that you are entitled.  The others are public money and wasteful spending that cheats ordinary Americans. www. usfederalbudget.us/federal_budget_detail_fy13 Matching 401Ks should be the most any governmental body should offer for retirement.  Do not cut social security or medicare.  They are mandatory deductions from pay that are allocated reserves that should not have been touched, mismanaged by deficit spending republicans.  Lifeline for the middle and low income Americans. stop making new rules that makes the tax code more complicated.  10% taxes for $300K and below, 40% for $300K and above, no deductions, no AMT, nada, you donate if you can afford it, look Zukerberg donated $100 mil to NJ schools and another $500 million to other causes, more net spending income for all Americans....the rich won't be affected....they have the means to earn more....the poor are stuck, eliminating credits and other exceptions is more of the same.  set a flat net income tax rate for small business and corporations....25% to 35%, no loopholes, downsize the IRS, cut funding to expenses funded by the general fund.  cut foreign aid, end wars, plan for natural disasters, cut all grants, expenses need to be  itemized and put up to a popular vote...50% of the federal budget is plenty of space to find cuts that won't hurt ordinary Americans.  The slew of worthless propositions, this is the real use for propositions, don't let those bribed elected politicians make spending decisions.  America can make them better.  Example, Prop 30 for Education and other critical expenses voted in by CA.

We elect "representatives" to work for the common good. There seems to be more interest in the Politics of Blocking and Bluster than in Solutions and Sensible Compromise. Let's Recall ALL those who won't cooperate. Promises to other Congressmen or lobbyists should not outweigh the wishes of "We, the People". Do your job...REPRESENT us or prepare to be RECALLED!

We all, every single person in the United States, have been affected detrimentally by Republican insistence for four decades to continue aiding and abetting corporate and wealthy incomes. This has been done with the promise of a trickle-down effect that never happened because of greed. Even now Republicans are attempting to patch up the mess they themselves caused, by acting as if the heavy majority of Americans approve of their actions. We don't. We also don't approve of Democrats backing down and giving in to Republican demands. Corporations are sitting on $Trillions, refusing to invest in new companies or to bring back companies they sent to foreign countries to take advantage of paying small incomes and avoiding taxes. We have to hold Congress and President Obama responsible for placing the responsibility of rebuilding our economy squarely on the shoulders of those who wrecked it - Republicans and Corporations.

Most NRA members are regular people, Moms and Dads, responsible gun owners who are concerned as we all are about public safety. I would like to hear their voices and see if they match up with Wayne LaPierre, NRA Executive Vice President on Friday. He came out and blamed everyone else, taking no responsibility whatsoever. His attitude was the epitome of white privilege and entitlement. He was cold and defensive. So, if he speaks for the NRA, we need to know. Is the NRA a democratic organization, or has it been taken over by right wing extremists?

This is a proposal to extend relief to homeowners with underwater loans that may otherwise be qualified to purchase a new or different home. This program would include a one time tax write off deductible over a ten year period, in equal portions per year for the sale of a single family primary residence. I have been stuck in a home far underwater for 7 years, but am otherwise qualified to purchase a different home if there were a way to write off the loss of the underwater amount in the event of a sale. This order is an affront to the banks and the Congress who have empowered the banks to write off ALL of their costs for homes they hold in inventory that were once the homes of families that have not been able to write off any portion of their losses. The banks have ALL of the benefits that should belong to the victims of the Housing bubble debacle, in that the families cannot get one penny of relief for their losses. This will get the real estate market going by unleashing market forces allowing bank held inventory to rapidly adjust to mark-to-market pricing instead of mark-to-prior-sale pricing. Real estate sales is a primary generator of economic strength and results in huge job creation. By unlocking the portion of the economy now being held by the Banks within the spread between their pricing and fair market pricing, billions of dollars will enter the economy and generate jobs. Congress is dysfunctionally unable to enact something similar because of politically sectarian gridlock. The Banks will never willingly mark-to-market because the ability to write off the artificially higher prices gives them a greater benefit than doing the right thing.

School massacres must end. The NRA says 'arm everybody.' Legislators want tighter restrictions on assault weapons, magazines or ammunition. Why not make our children's classrooms safer instead. Most have been constructed of cement block already, so solid core or steel doors with magnetic locks could make them virtually impenetrable. External lock-down from the principle's office or a card swipe from within the classroom could prevent the bloodshed and death like we've seen in our schoolhouse shootings

Many seniors rely on SS to pay their expenses. Expenses keep going up and if SS is cut, this will effect the well being of elderly who cannot work and have no other income. This is not socialism, this is common decency, aka humanistic values. Other civilized countries are keeping theirs. Lets not give in to extremists. Dems won.
