This petition is in response to the massive slaughter of 28 innocent children and teachers at the Sandy Hook Elementary School on Friday, December 14, 2012. I am petitioning the government to install bullet proof windows and doors in all public schools.

Repeal the 2nd Amendment to the constitution so that right to bear arms is no longer a right but if it is there at all it becomes a privilege.

We need police protecting our schools, parks and public spaces on a much larger scale than currently afforded. We are spending billions to protect foreign nations whilst leaving our people in harms way. Yes to more First Responders.

The guns used in the most recent school shooting were all legally purchased and registered - but not to the shooter. Preventing that affects us all.

The "paramount duty" of Washington State is to fully fund public education, yet we rank 49th in the nation in proportion to state incomes. Wealthy, predominantly white districts do better, but even these struggle when property tax levies fail. The wealthiest individuals insulate themselves and hide behind the smokescreen of charter schools. It's time to stop finger pointing, and to get this issue solved.

For-profit investment banks and financial institutions do NOT have your best interest in mind. Their prime directive is to benefit shareholders - NOT customers of banking services. Aside from huge salaries and bonuses for CEOs and officers the manipulation of internal books and the creation of bank to bank deals shows that these massive financial corporations cannot be trusted. We need a not-for-profit state bank that holds the concerns of the citizens to heart. A state bank will serve and provide the financial services that people, small business and communities need in a transparent, efficient and honest fashion. A state bank will protect the state and its citizens from wanton fiduciary irresponsibility. A state bank will provide a stable platform for sustained growth and balanced prosperity. A state bank will serve the people not the shareholders.

Political "solutions" to gun violence and school shootings have not been solutions at all. Our students, teachers, and school staff are more vulnerable now than ever. We need professionals from the military and law enforcement to devise solutions.

My Parents are on Disability and are on Medicare. If the Government decides to cut Benefits for those who need these or other Services like it, then it will hurt Millions.

As a man in a same-sex marriage for 35 years, with a child, I want the same civil/human right afforded other Americans.
