• Equal Representation by District for County Commissioners
Currently a county commisioner in Wyoming is elected at large. This allows unequal representation in several counties where the towns and cities have no representation and money is unequally spent. If districts are formed rather than at large people will be equally represented. It takes an act of the state legislature to insure equality.

  • Safe Chemicals Act
I have personally been devastated by this issue. Toxic chemicals in new carpeting caused me permanent heart damage, excruciating fibromyalgia, central nervous system damage, neurological damage, and the list goes on and on. We need for Senator Harry Reid to bring this act to the floor of the Senate, said act introduced by Senator Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey. Cancer rates, asthma rates, you name it, chemicals are adversely effecting our air, water, land, homes, workplaces and contributes greatly each year to our ridiculous health care costs. Please contact your congressmen and senators to urge the passage of the Safe Chemicals Act.

  • Advocacy of Religious hatred must be declared a Hate Crime
Advocacy of religious hatred via speech, print or video and film that constitutes incitement to hostility and violence should be declared a hate crime and should not be protected under freedom of speech rights. The importance of respecting all prophets and holy books, regardless of which religion they belong to is essential for peaceful coexistence of Humanity.

  • Rep. Francisco Canseco: Reject Romney's claim about 47%
Rep. Francisco Canseco says he represents all Texans, but he hasn’t said much about Mitt Romney's offensive remarks defaming 47% of Americans. Texas has been hard hit by the economic crisis and I live in one of the poorer neighborhoods in Bexar County, Texas. However, I see my neighbors every day going out to work long hours. If they don't have jobs, I see them valiantly looking. Many of them intend to vote for Obama, but not all of them. What is clear to me is that ALL Texans were smeared when Mitt Romney stated 47% of Americans think of themselves as victims who are entitled to and dependent on government support. He later went on to say, “My job is not to worry about those people.” Canseco should have stood up for his constituents and made it clear that he respects the hardworking people of Texas, but he has not. We deserve to know what our representatives stand for and what they really think of us.

  • Save Richmond Track
On September 21st, 2012, University of Richmond Athletic Director Jim Miller informed the members of the University of Richmond Track and Field program that the University would be cutting the mens indoor and outdoor Track and Field teams. These cuts were made in order that the University could add a Men's Lacrosse team. The Richmond Cross Country/Track program has been the epitome of what the NCAA promotes as Student-Athletes. We have succeeded both academically and athletically. The following are just some of the accomplishments by the Richmond Cross Country/Track and Field program over the past few years. Spring 2011- Highest Team GPA all DI Outdoor Track and Field Teams 10 consecutive years on USTFCCCA All Academic Team for Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track 2010- Qualified for NCAA XC Championships 2010-Top 25 finish in the NCAA 2010- Atlantic10 Cross Country Champions Please sign this petition and vocalize your concern to the University community at large, to raise awareness and hopefully reverse this decision. Thank you for your support.

  • What's Not Progressive? Attacking Portland Workers' Rights, That's What
My co-workers and I, who work at the Fund for the Public Interest in Portland, voted to unionize 11 months ago, but we are still without a first contract. Leadership at the Fund—a nonprofit that has supported great organizations like Environment Oregon and the Oregon State Public Interest Research Group with fundraising and member outreach—has utilized stalling techniques in negotiations and even fired some fellow workers who have been involved in negotiation talks.[1] Tell the Fund's National Telephone Outreach Project Director Pat Wood to negotiate in good faith with workers to settle a fair first contract. • Apple add transit
Apple iPhone5 substitutes Apple Maps for Google Maps. Apple Maps cannot route you on transit–only driving. Google Maps is the transcendent resource for routing yourself around any city, anywhere, that has transit service. Apple needs to keep serving those of us who love Apple AND love transit.
