Republican Governor Kasich: Do not decrease Ohio's budget for persons with disabilites on MedicaidI have a 28 year old who also has severe Autism and Down Syndrome. He was not eligible for any form of Medicaid until he was 18 years old due to the household income of 2 working parents. Today he is dependent on Ohio Medicaid for his multiple health issues and his private program he attends Monday through Friday. Do not hurt our people who need to keep their Medicaid entitlements and have no voice for themselves. My son is non verbal and cannot speak for himself. We, as registered voters in Ohio must uphold his and many others rights a citizens to have health care and other rights and opportunities to achieve their fullest potential.131 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Ruth Redmond

4% Interest Rate for AllI have a mortgage rate of 6 1/4%, I am paying way more than I need too but can't refinance because of current banking rules. I want a new law to be written that states everyone in America is entitled to a 4% interest rate on there primary residence without influence by the credit score industry. This is especially important in view of the Libor scandal currently going on, where banks have been rigging interest rates, to there benefit, for years. I want interest rates to be rigged for the benefit of Americans. This law would have to include a provision that makes it illegal to deny refinancing to anyone, as a way for banks to continue robbing Americans. It is discriminatory to offer one interest rate to the rich and another to the poor, this needs to be stopped and made fair and equal. It would also jump start the economy in a way nothing else can, and lead to a fair and honest housing market in America.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Shea

$200 or $26,000 a month. And that 26k is not a car payment for a Ferrari. That is the broad range that Americans have to pay for non generic drugs. And now the pharmacist lobbyists want to extend the time the it takes prescription drugs from reaching the market from 5 years to 10 years. And if you are like me who has to pay $300 a month to pay for his prescriptions because my insurance will not cover it and can't afford to get better insurance, this is not acceptable. But this is even more absurd for those such as cancer patients or others with serious mental health disorders who have to pay more a month than people in the %1 even make a year. This petitions goal is to reduce the time it takes prescription drugs to become generic by changing the law from 5 years to 3 years, and to limit how much drug companies can charge a pill for a months worth of medication.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Reilly Anderson

Orange County Supervisors: Vote "NO" on Saddle Crest, Support Foothill Trabuco Specific Plan. The Foothill Trabuco Specific Plan (FTSP) requires development in Trabuco Canyon to be rural in character and protect the area's ancient oak forests, scenic ridgelines, and other cherished natural resources. But Rutter Development Corporation refuses to follow the FTSP and instead proposes gutting it, along with the Orange County General Plan, to allow construction of its 65-unit suburban sprawl "Saddle Crest" housing tract along Santiago Canyon Road north of Cook's Corner. Rutter's amendments would allow him to congest 2-lane Santiago Canyon Road, cut down over 150 mature oak trees, bulldoze ridgetops, and fill up canyons over 70 feet deep, and any developer coming after him to do the same. We are asking Orange County supervisors to say "NO" to Saddle Crest and Rutter's plan gutting amendments when they vote on October 2.2,534 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Ray Chandos

Lady Gaga is perfect just the way she is.The recent news that she was told to lose weight is shocking. Not only is it insulting to the Lady, but it sends a message to all healthy, curvy women that they aren't good enough. It's an outrage that can only be stopped by showing that the public doesn't need everyone in the spotlight to be size zero. So sign this petition if you love Lady Gaga, yourself or anyone at all!12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by RainbowNerdette

Stop Expensive Privatization! Please stop privatizing the work of the US Government and Our State Governments. The Post Office, jails and public schools need to be properly funded, and not made into profit making businesses that cost the tax payers much more. Privatization is much more costly, and inefficient. Also, Somehow private companies will cut too many corners and their administrators are the only ones who get the benefits.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Barbara Monroe

Recall John McCainThe senate has been plagued for years with this pandering, two faced, flip flopping rich, out of touch liar that keeps acting as the ring leader of Republican obstructionism in the U.S. Senate. Arizona would have received many times more grants and money we needed to get employment stabilized and education improved but John McCain doesn't see any need for us to receive needed funding because he is doing just fine. When did being a U.S. Senator become a life time career? He has been involved in every financial downturn since the beginning of problems in the fifties, was a member of the Keating Five Scandal, was associated with the repeal of the Glass/Steagall Banking Act of 1933, that was put in place to prevent financial corruption like what happened with Wall Street again recently, continues to want more deregulation of all ethical standards, and truth be known, his record in the Navy previous to him getting his fifth plane (that was destroyed) shot down would have gotten anyone else thrown out with a dishonorable discharge but his dad and granddad being admirals kept him from receiving the same treatment. I would like to see him gone and someone who is progressive thinking and not older than dirt in the U.S. Senate to represent Arizona, my state.26 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Steve Walker

CIA ON AUSTIN PEAY'S CAMPUS!On wednesday 26 September 2012 the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Office of Career Services will be hosting a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) recruitment event on campus. The CIA has a history of recruiting students and professors to stop communism, giving students new job opportunities, as well as a long list of repeated stopping of terrorists. Activities such as these are very acceptable and will be tolerated at APSU. We are calling on the campus administration to uphold the student code of conduct and allow the CIA on our campus.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jimmy Rustles

Stop tax exempt status for religions who tell people how to voteI sat in a church where the church leader told everyone whom to vote for or go to hell. Later that day I went to another fundamentalist church and heard the same sermon: vote for my man who tells me what to believe, or you will go to hell. Even tax exempt church, mosques and synagogues who have schools are telling students who to vote for and whom they can visit and if the parents do not vote in the religion's candidate, the family will go to hell. There is to be a wall separating state and church, but many churches are threatening their worshippers with going to hell if they do not vote for the church-approved candidate. This is unAmerican and violates the IRS code on exempt status actions.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Arthur Ide

End partisan log jam in WashingtonIn discussions with my friends and relatives, including Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, I have found a nearly universal agreement on one basic theme: Our elected officials are consistently playing partisan politics, rather than working together to solve the economic crisis. The reality of the political environment, however, is sufficiently balanced that neither party can impose its solutions without negotiation with the opposing party. That is, real progress on solving our economic problems will require cooperation and compromise. I am therefor asking the candidates for President and Vice President of both parties to begin now to lead their parties away from the counter-productive, contentious partisan politics of the recent past into a period of cooperative political leadership necessary to address the serious risks to our country’s and our individual well-being during the present world-wide economic turmoil.96 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jerry Nolte
