We are asking parents and family of K-12 children in Grandview to support the Grandview City School District in upgrading their policies and practice relating to controlling bullying behavior and acceptable conduct. We believe that the depth and complexity of this issue requires very careful examination and follow-through for the community to move effectively. We trust that the board, with the sustained support and attention of the Grandview community can make the schools an even better place than they are already. For the majority of students, the new attention to this issue may make no discernible difference. We are confident, however, that changes in what is considered acceptable behavior for K-12 student will, for some students, make all the difference. We are suggesting an array of measures that should be explored as policies are re-established and implemented. IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL OF US TROOPS FROM AFGHANISTAN

Many people are tempted to download intellectual property from the Internet. Are they all thieves? In the strictest sense, yes, but most simply do not understand the destructive nature of their actions. New laws will not work. They are simply too difficult to enforce.. So what will? As the widow of a musician I used to derive most of my living from royalties due from books published by my husband. I have watched as my royalties declined almost to nothing. The publishers are at a loss to help They fear for their own survival. Already thousands of music book sellers have gone out of business. Who will write the books of the future if their is no incentive to write them. Please share your thoughts with me on this which is for me a catastrophic situation.

If the Republicans refuse to allow the rich to pay their fair share of taxes, then how are we to get this economy back to thriving standards. Only the rich who hord all the money and then claim not to have any, are the ones who can keep this country's economy thriving. If they refuse, they should be voted out of power and allow the other side to create jobs and put America back to work and create fair share taxes for everyone, not just a select few.

School age children should not have to wait at a bus stop before the sun comes up. Because the bus comes at 6:25 am, my daughter has to get up at 5:30 am to get ready for school and be at the bus stop 5 minutes before the bus comes because it may come early. Sometimes the bus is 5 to 15 minutes late. She is afraid of standing alone on a corner watching strange cars, walkers and joggers pass her by. she feels that she can be snatched at any second. This is frightening. Our children should not have to be subjected to this. Make buses pick up children when the sun comes out which means schools have to start later. This would help parents from worrying about kidnappers.

Prop 13 bases property taxes on the original purchase price. While this contributes to the stability of neighborhoods, it is a windfall for commercial properties and deprives the state of needed revenue.

The Association of Flight Attendants has been negotiating with Piedmont Airlines since August 18, 2009. We, the flight attendants, our affected family and friends are ready to see the hard working flight attendants of Piedmont Airlines get a CONTRACT NOW. We are signing this petition in support of their endeavor to get a contract now with improvements rather than with a no-cost mindset presented by Piedmont at every turn. Piedmont Airlines works because the flight attendants do!

We need a constitutional amendment to counteract the terrible impact of the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision. Corporations are not people and should not have all the same rights as people. In particular, given their excessive economic power, corporations' "free speech" rights should be strictly curbed.

I'm here because I haven't been able to see the dentist in 5 years. I'm getting Medicaid through the state of Delaware and my Medicaid benefits states that children 21 years OR YOUNGER are eligible for dental benefits. Well I'm here fighting for those who NEED too see the dentist like myself. I go to a dentist office and they want $800.00 for 1 filling!!!! EXCUSE ME??!! I don't know about you but I can't push that amount, even with a job. I don't think it's fair, PLUS I think EVERYONE should be eligible to see the dentist. It's called personal hygiene people!!! IT'S A MUST! PLEASE HELP ME AND SIGN MY PETITION FOR DENTAL BENEFITS FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS MEDICAID. What I'm hoping for is mandatory 2 dental cleanings/year and up to $10,000.00 for all other work that needs to b done per year.
