As responsible citizens in a democracy, we cannot accept the calls for war that would commit crime in our name and leave blood on our hands while driving a spike of oil prices into our barely recovering economy. We call on our elected representatives in Congress and the White House to Stop! Don't do it! Don't attack Iran: It will not make us, Israel or anyone else safer; it will likely spread into a regional war while we are trying to disengage from Iraq an dstill mired in Afghanistan. It will kill many thousands of innocents, damage the air, water and soil for generations, and fuel the spread of nuclear weapons as the only deterrent to attack.

It's about providing a sensible, appropriate, accessible, RELEVANT education for ALL kids, regardless of socioeconomic background. You should care because testing kids to death and using test scores as a major determinant of teacher effectiveness is creating disenfranchisement in the youth and is causing good teachers to leave the profession.

The members of Congress have abused their positions and exceeded the original intentions of our founders. They do not participate in programs they vote on, and instead have their own superior programs.

Requirement that everyone registers to vote and either votes or performs community service. Also, one month before an election the media is open to candidates to give detailed accounts of their positions. All media is provided at little or no cost. Money, as a result, will be taken out of the election. Twenty second sound bites will be replaced by in-depth knowledge of candidates beliefs and positions.

Cities and towns everywhere are limiting free speech and violating the rights to freedom of expression of Political Activists, Street Artists and Performers, limiting their access to the public forum; streets, parks, plazas and other places where people gather. Cities like St. Augustine Are using the courts to enforce unlawful ordinances and bans forbidding performing music, dancing, creating art or other forms of self expression that are guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Please join the effort to combat this with federal legislation that would prohibit the enforcement of laws or ordinances that violat the freedom of expression of Citizens of the U.S.

Demanding that colleges all require at least a minimum of their professors/Instructors work as full time. Many of us including me went back to college to specifically become full time Instructors however business changed all this as we become adjunct who over work and are underpaid often living just above poverty with our PhD’s! Thus with such laws college will be forced to sign on more quality caring full time staff who will then have the ability to pay back their student loan and help studenst learn as this is our passion not our additional income

If you ask any local policeman if he has dealt with a human trafficking case he will say no. That policemen probably did and just did not recognize the signs. We need to educate our "protectors" to be able to protect everyone. Runaways are the biggest targets for human traffickers and nothing is being done to stop this tragedy. Most victims are girls under the age of 14. Think about your sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews and let's get law enfocement educated now to recognize the signs and help them out! Even before the Citizen United decision, special interests thoroughly corrupted our democracy to plutocratic rule. Mindful that some decent elected officials may also be swept away from government, the cleansing results would be beneficial to all citizens.

The greatest threat to American democracy is the 2010 Supreme Court decision banning limitations on corporate contributions to political campaigns in the name of free speach. The flood of corporate money has given corporations a megaphone to drown out the voice of the individual and thereby grants them ability to anoint our legislators and president.
