Governor Bentley and the Alabama State Legislature are gambling with the future of Alabama’s school children. We need to send a loud and clear message that tells them to leave the Education Trust Fund alone.

This petition comes as a public outcry concerning a grave and horrific injustice concerning the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in March 2012. This is an attack on all workers, and will erode the standard of living for all Minnesotans, giving employers all the power over wages, benefits, and working conditions. By allowing tax breaks for corporations, the Arizona state legislature continues to attack Voter ID, cuts to public schools and health care. Governor Brewer has had numerous opportunities to reverse these compelling attacks. As a constituent I am asking you to stand for not only the working poor, but also the middle class and stop this decimation. On behalf of the Baby Boomers: drop the minimum qualifying age down to 55!

As a party, Republicans have lost touch with their constituents. One could say that the party has become a danger to their citizens, given the recent bills they have supported (i.e., bills in Georgia forcing women to carry their pregnancies to full term, even if it's at risk to their health). Additionally, as a party, Republicans have forgotten that they answer to their constituents, not the 1% or businesses or corporations.

Remove RUSH LIMBAUGH from KOWL. He has been a vile commentator for the last 23 or more years. This is the last straw! As our local radio station, you must get rid of this vile male. He has no sensibility to women. He has no sensibility to the world and the problem with over population. He wants to intimidate women who speak out for our reproductive freedom. This is not Afghanistan where the men control the women. We have equal rights and your station is allowing this vile male to call a woman a slut or a prostitute if they use contraceptives.

When the State of Hawaii accepted the medical use of Cannabis in 2000 by creating Hawaii's Medical Marijuana Program, it did so because of the fact that States have the right to decide the medical use of controlled substances. However, nothing has been done since that time to correct the resulting discrepancy between state and federal law regarding this substance. It is up to the Governor of Hawaii, who has legal standing in this matter, to obligate the Attorney General of the United States to recognize Hawaii's right to decide the medical use of controlled substances, and thereby remove Cannabis from Schedule I.

Rush Limbaugh should not be able to hide behind the word "entertainment." There is nothing enjoyable about the hatred this man spews. It is self-serving, i.e. his bank account and his ego, but it does not serve people of good conscience, people of kindness, integrity, compassion, no matter what one's political views.
