  • End Excessive Executive Bonus'
The law banning or establishing a maximum on executive bonus' should be expanded or clarified to include all types of executive bonus' no matter what they are called. Companies are getting around the law which bans or sets a maximum amount that can be given as "executive bonus'" by simply changing the name to executive incentive bonus'." This is particularly galling because it is being done by Wall Strret companies who, I believe, created the financial crisis in the first place. Some continue to give out millions of dollars in those kinds of bonus' while laying off hundreds of their non-executive workers.

  • 10% Flat Tax
Many years ago (1883) I was driving an Limo in Beverly Hills, CA. I was driving a very high end Tax Expert to the airport. I asked him how we could solve our debt problems for good in the US. His instant answer was" 10% Flat tax on individuals and Corporations. He said in 3 years we would be in the Black and stay there. This would also free up a lot of money that would be spent and go back into the economy.

  • Get the Government out of My Uterus!
This petition sends a message to members of the Senate and House of Representatives letting them know that it is not acceptable to pass legislation of any kind restricting a woman's right to choose. Mandatory waiting periods, parental consent, parental notification, transvaginal ultrasounds and forcing women to listen to the heartbeat of the fetus are unnecessary restrictions and encroachments upon a woman's right to make reproductive health decisions that men make every single day. The right to choose has already been legalized by Roe v. Wade through the trimester framework and reaffirmed by Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey in 1992. These attacks are unnecessary invasions of a woman's right to privacy and must be put to an end.

  • GMO labeling
Americans care about what's in their food. It is important to know cuz of allergy. We all have a right to know whether our food has been genetically engineered so we can make informed decisions about what we eat or feed our families. In fact, against the backdrop of a deeply divided nation, polls show that more than 92 percent of Americans agree on labeling GMOs.

  • STOP SMOKING IN PUBLIC SPACES
The nation is moving in this direction already. First smoking was banned on airplanes; then in the workspace; later, extended to restaurants and even bars. New York City banned smoking in stadia and taxis and extended the law to include all public parks and beaches last year. Most jurisdictions have banned smoking in cars when there are children present. However, entering a public building or even walking down the street is still like running the gauntlet and hazardous to one's health. While smokers should be able to retain some rights, their rights should terminate at non-smokers' noses. If you can smell it, you're being exposed to carcinogens, which is simply not only hazardous, but unfair. Smoking causes 440,000 deaths in America annually and adds to the burden on the health care system and tax payers along with lost productivity in the workplace. I urge reasonable people to support the notion of further restricting smoking in all public spaces where others may be exposed.

  • Cut Off Social Security and Medicare for Millionaires
The government pays out billions of dollars in social security and medicare benefits for retired millionaires. Millionaires do not need these benefits. Further, unlike many other issues where people are seriously divided, there are many Congressman and Senators on both sides of the aisle who agree on this point. Call or email your congressman today and let them know to stop paying the millionaires.
