Far too many Oregonians are sick and tired of being sick and tired. In light of our state’s Chemical Exposure Investigation now on hiatus, we urgently need a moratorium, and the Pesticide spraying due to begin as soon as weather permits, stop. In realizing 34+ citizens and their children have tested positive for Atrazine and 2,4-D in their urine, with the state’s investigation not yet able to determine how or why this is happening, surely we are not expected to endure more spraying. Not with the investigation now on hold and peak spray season about to begin? Oregon’s long history of chemical cocktails inundating populated neighborhoods and communities, and trespassing into our air, water, land, bodies and lives is well documented. Thus, the fact the states investigation is on hiatus, during peak spray season, is most distressing. We have exhausted all avenues in seeking help to prevent these toxic chemicals from trespassing into our lives. What we have discovered however is that Oregon’s laws, rules and regulations appear only to support those either promoting the chemicals, initiating or doing the spraying. Our last recourse is for our Governor to issue a moratorium to stop the spraying. However, our governor is ignoring our pleas for help, and all our efforts to communicate. He has not and does not respond to our letters, e-mails, or phone calls, or our requests for a meeting, including the pleas from the mothers whose children were poisoned. These toxic chemical sprays need to end, however our seeking, asking, and pleading has not worked. We now face little choice and therefore are demanding our Right to our Health. For these practices have literally taken away our Right to a healthy lifestyle, certainly our Right to the Peace, Safety and Happiness, afforded us in Oregon's Constitution. Governor, we need a moratorium and all Pesticide spraying needs to stop. At least, until the investigation can determine how citizens are being exposed and prevent it from happening, or best case scenario until these toxic chemicals can be proven SAFE ~ for our air, water, land and bodies, in particular safe for our children, and Oregon's future. Enough is Enough!

Garrett County Maryland is only one of hundreds of Counties across our Nation that is considered an Orphan County by the Federal Communication Commission. As an Orphan County, we do not have the opportunity to view Television Stations from our own State. Thousands of Garrett County residents would like to see local news and sports from the Washington DC and Baltimore MD area but because of the FCC rules, we cannot. While Medford's population increased a mere 3.5% in 10 yrs., its budget rose 51% from 2001-2011. The town officials have ruined our finances through terrible fiscal mismangement. We have had enough! We protest the proposed elimination of weekly garbage pick up. If this goes through, we'd have to pay an additional fee for private garbage pick up...this is outrageous !

The Postmaster General has spent the last few years telling congress and America that the postal service is losing billions of dollars. He has asked for sacrifices from his employees, he has requested the raising of prices, and he has stated that he needs to close thousands of Post Offices across the country. Yet, recently he approved an agency rule that allows Postal executives to use postal funds to purchase hard liquor and wine for business meetings, etc.

How can the American middle class get the Congress To Pass President Obamas Jobs Bill. This Country is hurting without JOBS! Americans need income to pay their bills! Americans should be able to enjoy life like the one percent! What will it take to get Congress to act fast!

What started with the Susan G. Komen Foundation's attack on Planned Parenthood has only escalated. Now Rick Santorum says the purpose of prenatal testing is to increase abortions. It's outrageous! Because free pre-natal testing ends up in more abortions and therefore less care that has to be done, because we cull the ranks of the disabled in our society." --Rick Santorum, February 18, 2012 Tell Rick Santorum prenatal testing isn't a gateway to abortion. It is basic health care for women! Prenatal testing is used in many ways. It determines the mother's blood type and Rh factor, whether she has anemia, whether she has infections such as toxoplasmosis, hepatitis B, syphilis, chlamydia, and HIV, and whether she is immune to rubella (German measles) and chicken pox. While it is true that in a tiny minority of cases, prenatal testing finds conditions that may lead to a choice to terminate a pregnancy, it is much more frequently true that the information gleaned from prenatal testing uncovers conditions that can be, and need to be, treated promptly. The recent US Supreme Court decision allowing freedom of speech rights to Corporations was not what the 1st Amendment intended. Corporations are not people, they do not vote, they do not have representatives in Congress, they do not need the US Constitution to provide rights to them. This amendment would clarify that the first amendment rights to free speech only apply to living human beings.

When President Obama ran for President in 2008, he said he would leave Medical Marijuana regulation in the hands of the states that have legalized it. Now the DOJ and the IRS are conducting a war on the medical marijuana industry without any explanation. Marin County's oldest dispensary was forced to close when the DOJ threatened their landlord with seizure of the property. Please stand with the majority of Americans who want medical marijuana legalized!
