It is heartbreaking when you hear from a lawyer that 90% of all who apply get rejected, despite medical evidence proving the inability to work due to a condition. This is damaging our economy because it is preventing our ability to spend or save that would improve the Gross Domestic Product. The fact that many feel it is an entitlement is wrong; we paid for it by paying our taxes. I am currently considered disable due to a combination of blood clots and bulging in the cervical discs. On June 14th, my muscles stiffen up and I went unresponsive. People around me thought I had a stroke (it was a LARGE muscle spasm). From that point, my doctor told me he will not clear me until the conditions that caused this to occur disappear, because the next time it will be a stroke. A year later, the flow in my brain is slightly improved, which means it may be another year before I can actually work. I got enough documentation to prove the clots were real and potentially dangerous if I get stressed, but the rejection rational is “You don’t bend, squat, walk, stand, so you can return to your company for employment.” I am a technical support person, when do we not get stressed on the call? I am 33 years old, and prior to this I had been working since I was 19. I have enough credit in the system to be eligible for social security. I have paid them each year, and when I need them: I get denied. I am currently working with a lawyer to appeal this, but it should not have to be this way. If we have the plenty of facts proving our condition that negates our ability to work, it should be enough to state “Ok, we will approve you.” Sign if you feel that SSA and our Government is doing us a great disservice by allowing this to continue.

Long before the economic tailspin, Flight attendants were being replaced with cheap labor, and to make it more palatable to our Commander and chief, and the public as well, it appears that they are only replacing foreign unionized interpreters. Instead, with the union removed, we are all slowly being replaced by "language speakers". "IT'S Discrimination!" America does not need a huge group of baby boomers collecting unemployment and retirement. instead we need our Jobs to continue helping the economy recover!!

Lightweight plastic bags are ugly, they don't go away, few locales and fewer individuals recycle them and they kill wildlife when tossed into our woods and streams. We don't need them and we lived perfectly well without them only a few years ago. Missouri has a strong heritage of support for our state's natural beauty - these eye-sores have to go.

American taxes are paid to the Department of Defense's organization known as the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service. Rush Limbaugh's show is broadcast on this network. Sign the petition to have this show removed from the network's roster. Tell our government that tax money should not be paid for any broadcast that contains offensive speech towards anyone.

Englewood Public School District's Children are not being given the best after-school care. Instead of parents having their children in an Arts Enrichment Program to increase their appreciation, knowledge, culture and learning capacity. Parents are forced to accept a program that simply baby sits kids until they are picked up instead of teaching them music, dance and other artistic mediums to enhance both the left and right sides of the brain which increases their ability to learn.

Right now Clear Channel's advertiser's have moved their ads to other shows on Clear Channel. In order to effect a change we must affect the bottom line at Clear Channel Radio itself not the tentacles which grow back...somewhere else.

It is one thing to make encroaching on White House grounds a misdemeanor, which is understandable. But to make a peaceful protest/demonstration/picket line when the Secret Service is present a FELONY? Did any of the 388 members of the House who voted Yea on this bill even read the First Amendment? In the wake of the atrocities committed against various Occupy groups, and this bill on the verge of signing near the start of the "99% Spring" week, this sets a dangerous precedent.

We can no longer put greed before people's lives! All of us deserve quality affordable health care without discrimination due to lack of finances, chronic illness, disability, age, sex, race, or religion. Veterans First! Doctors and hospitals held accountable for patients safety! Decisions made by Patients and Doctors not insurance CEO's! ! , orientation! Non profit orginizatipns not government should be involved in our health care or be allowed to invade our privacy! Our veterans need to be top priority! Patients & Dr's need to make decisions together not CEO's of HMO's. Our hospitals & clinics can no longer be run by corporations who make life and death decisions for patients! Dr's and hospitals need to be held accountabile for the care & safety of their patients!
