AN IDAHO PETITION CALLING FOR AN UNITED STATES CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO BAN CORPORATE MONEY IN...On January 21, 2010, with its ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, the Supreme Court ruled that corporations are persons, entitled by the U.S. Constitution to buy elections and run our government. Human beings are people; corporations are legal fictions. We, the Citizens of Idaho, reject the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United, and ask our Congressional Representatives to amend our Constitution to: ~ Firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights. ~ Guarantee the right to vote and to participate, and to have our vote and participation count. The Supreme Court is misguided in principle, and wrong on the law. In a democracy, the people rule. We ask our Idaho Congressional Representatives to support a constitutional amendment that reverses the damage of the Citizen United Supreme Court case.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rachael Raue

End the Use of Cruel Gas Chambers to Kill Pets in Michigan"Grant’s Bills,” SB 423 and SB 424, would end the use of gas chamber euthanasia by shelters and Class B dealers in Michigan. Animals take a long time to die in gas chambers and suffer greatly.1,011 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by William McMullin

Wells Fargo and the 99% of Us!Wells Fargo Bank just issued a notification that beginning June 2012, individual's checking accounts will be charged a monthly fee of $15.00 if the individual doesn't have at least three Wells Fargo products or an average balance of $7,500.00 in all their accounts. This fee is clearly focused on the 99% of the population who can least afford the charge.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Wendy Raschke

Fracking is Bad for North CarolinaWAKE UP before it's Too Late. How many times have we been told something can be done safely, responsibly and beneficial to the people? Remember Bophal, India, Exon Valdez, and the deep water Gulf oil spill, the Chilean coal mine disaster, the Appalachian coal mine disaster, and too many, more to name. The corporate giants all said they could extract natural resources safely. They lied, we suffered. The health, livelihood and very culture of millions of people suffered. Are we fool enough to listen?2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ruth Zalph

Make banks that took TARP money give back equity to homeownersBanks such as Chase Manhattan which took TARP money from the Federal Government should have to give equity back to individual and family homeowners. Bank of America is now trying to get home owners to become their renters when homes are under water. This is unjust! If you support justice for home owners adversely affected by the Wall Street fiasco, please sign this petition.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jasmine Marshall Armstrong

Amazon: Add toxicity scores to your product listingsShouldn't you know if chemicals in your child's shampoo cause brain damage? I didn't know dioxane, found in Johnson & Johnson's baby shampoo was a carcinogen and they are not required to tell me. Health ratings of products are available, however, and Amazon should integrate them into the buying process. Problem: Toxic chemicals, such as neurotoxins (hurt the brain) and carcinogens (cancer-causing) are routinely put into personal care products such as soaps and cosmetics. There is little (if any) regulation requiring companies to remove toxic chemicals or disclose them. Here is a cartoon explaining some of the problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pfq000AF1i8 The Solution: GoodGuide.com provides the world’s largest and most reliable source of information on the health, environmental, and social impacts of consumer products. GoodGuide's team of scientists rates consumer products along the following scales: health, environment, and social impact. They then provide scores so that consumers can easily figure out what products align with their health, environmental and social concerns. As the worlds largest online retailer they can easily integrate with rating databases, achieve huge impact, and set a new standard for retail. Thanks!6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jon Katz

WFNC! Drop Rush Limbaugh For Good! The issues facing our country are serious and we cannot afford Rush's constant appeal to "thought destroying emotional words" and to his narrow mind in which he cannot see valuable ideas in what he opposes. He speaks of family values but shows no respect for authorities.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Al Peuster LPC. LMFT,M.Div
