• President-elect Trump: Cut ties with your supporter Carl Paladino!
There is no need to explain Paladino's comments further. They speak for themselves. To clarify our demand to "cut all ties to Carl Paladino now" we mean that Trump must: 1. End any public or private connection to Carl Paladino, 2. Cut all financial ties that he, his business partners, his family, or any of their business partners may have with Paladino, his business partners, his family, or any of their business partners may have to Paladino or any business with which he is affiliated, 3. Return any donations or gifts you or anyone in your family may have received, 4. Demand all members of your administration do the same, and 5. Commit to the severance of ties at least through the end of Presidency. Other remedies may be necessary also, but anything short of these demands means that Donald Trump's claim to be President for all Americans cannot be taken seriously.

  • Congress: Stop Presidential Tweets
I am concerned that the President Elect has already shown his inability to restrain himself from commenting on sensitive domestic and international issues as evidenced by his latest foray into suggesting the altering of long standing Nuclear Non-Proliferation policy.

  • Demand Carl Palladino's Immediate School Board Resignation!
It is appalling that a person with such extremely bigoted viewpoints is serving on a school board! Where the schools of New York State are exemplary in our commitment to protect students from racist bullying, a hateful individual who has made such remarks as to wish the death of a President and to undermine a First Lady who are esteemed by countless Americans is absolutely unqualified as a leader on a school board.

  • Radio City Rockettes Should Not Be Forced To Perform At Inauguration
Freedom of speech and the right to protest is guaranteed in the Constitution and should also be honored in the workplace. As Donald Trump has repeatedly and publicly disrespected women, been charged with rape three times, and noted for entering the dressing rooms of contestants at his own events, it is unreasonable for Rockette employees to be subjected to the possibility of similar degradation. At no time should any employee be fearful of loss of employment as a result of not participating in a situation that is detrimental to their safety or dignity!

  • Don't force the Rockettes to dance for Trump
According to news reports, the majority of the Radio City Rockettes--some of the most talented dancers in the country--apparently do not want to perform at Trump's inauguration. Yet, their union, the American Guild of Variety Artists, sent a note to the Rockettes that they will lose their jobs if they refuse to perform. We must tell the producers of the event and the union that represents the Rockettes that forcing this extremely talented and dedicated group of women to dance for Donald Trump against their will--and otherwise risk their entire careers--is absolutely unacceptable.

  • No more plastic bags
I bring my own reusable bags to the grocery store. Yet, despite my personal efforts to reduce my own pollution, the grocery store employees still have to use some plastic bags for my purchases. People either don't realize that they themselves have an impact on the health of our environment or they out right deny the fact. Banning plastic bags is a simple step on the road to a sustainable future. If not now, when?

  • Hold verifiably fair presidential election before transfer of power
Indications of corruption in the election process necessitate the invalidation of the 2016 presidential election and the holding a new one: • winner loses by almost 3 million votes • vote count inconsistent with exit polls • unlawful purges of voter registries in swing states • valid votes not counted in swing states in greater numbers than the margin of the win in those states • absentee ballots not sent out as required

  • Tell Twitter to ban Donald Trump.
Donald Trump's tweets are ill-conceived and at times dangerous to American foreign policy and world stability. He embarrasses not only himself but the entire country. This type of unfiltered social media vomit by the president-elect is very worrisome and a problem for our Democracy. We need to take action soon before any more damage is done to American credibility and policy. Tweeting about increasing American nuclear capability is the last straw.

  • Ask Twitter to Dump Trump
Trump uses Twitter to avoid the Press (our 4th Estate) and to guide followers to bully his enemies. His Tweets are reckless and could start a nuclear war. Twitter should permanently revoke his account to ensure transparency and democracy. Twitter should not enable this behavior, but should stand up for civil discourse.

  • Congress, Obama: Don't Start an Arms Race in Space
By removing the word "limited" from in front of the phrase "missile defense" in the National Defense Authorization Act [NDAA], Congress is laying the groundwork for a costly effort to field space-based weaponry, the Los Angeles Times reports. Experts say the changes could aggravate tensions with Russia and China and prompt a renewed nuclear arms race. The bill awaits action by President Obama, who has not said what he will do. Leading defense scientists say the idea that a space-based system could provide security against nuclear attack is fantasy. [1] “It defies the laws of physics and is not based on science of any kind,” says David Montague, retired president of missile systems for Lockheed and co-chair of a National Academy of Sciences panel that studied missile defense technologies. “Even if we darken the sky with hundreds or thousands of satellites and interceptors, there’s no way to ensure against a dedicated attack. So it’s an opportunity to waste a prodigious amount of money.” He calls the provisions passed by Congress “insanity, pure and simple.” [2] Philip Coyle, former assistant secretary of Defense who headed the Pentagon office responsible for testing and evaluating weapon systems, describes the notion of a space-based nuclear shield as a sham. “To do this would cost just gazillions and gazillions,” Coyle says. “The technology isn’t at hand - nor is the money…Both Russia and China will use it as an excuse to do something that they want to do.” [3] Press President Obama and Congress to oppose a new arms race in space by signing our petition. • Boycott Your Tourist Dollars in the State of Texas
Your crusade against Planned Parenthood and the patients they serve is based on thoroughly discredited videos recorded by indicted anti-abortion activists. Using a bogus smear campaign to further jeopardize the health care of 13,000 Texans who rely on Medicaid and Planned Parenthood is irresponsible and shameful. This prevents Cancer Screening, Birth Control, and Health Care to deserving Women across the state of Texas.

  • Students Are Not Felons
January 2017, an amendment to a Missouri statute will take effect. This change will affect students, schools, and our communities. Justice and liberty are at stake; a law that could potentially stifle an education before it begins, disproportionately affect citizen votes, and further disenfranchise citizens must be repealed. Don't sentence our children for the crimes of our society. There are multiple outlets to learn more about this issue.
