According to the AARP, a typical 80-year-old woman will lose the equivalent of three months worth of food annually under this plan. Today, we reflect on why cutting Social Security is a bad idea: The Government does not fund Social Security, not directly makes contributions to SS. Workers are the only contributing factor. SS is not insolvent. Fact: SS is stable. The government wants to turn it into a voucher system, subject to the stock market. We Simply cannot afford to let this happen. The north side of the glacial hill contains a concentration of very old Oak and Tulip trees which have grown to great heights. At the base of this hill is beautiful grotto and valley. It is urgent that this petition be signed so this beautiful landscape be protected and preserved as a park for current and future generations can enjoy. I couldn't believe it when I saw a promo for a new History Channel show called "Chasing Tail" which is a common term for men in search of sexual favors with the "tail" being a female body part. The promo shows Red Necks with rifles hunting "White Tail Deer". I am insulted as a women that the History Channel is using this slur as the title for yet another show celebrating Red Neck Culture. Demand that they either change the title or take the show off the air.

I have had my intercity mobility restricted by the suspension of Amtrak's Sunset Limited train segment between New Orleans and Orlando. Dozens of communities have had their only transportation alternative under a "temporary suspension" since Hurricane Katrina. To help these citizens like myself, and for the sake of its economic benefits, the Federal Government MUST put an end to this political laziness and provide funding for a daily Amtrak train from New Orleans to Orlando!

I Have been in South Eastern School District all of my life, and there are very many children there who are bullied everyday. The people who rely on Social Security cannot afford any cuts to their meager benefits. Prices have skyrocketed during these past recession years since 2009. We don't want our older citizens to have to choose between food or medications. It is high time we did not give Social Security to those whose incomes testify to the fact they do not need additional monies.
