In 12 years I have paid over $60,000 on these loans, and over $40,000 has went to interest. It shouldn't take 30 years to pay off 8 years of college. Child sexual abuse is the most underreported crimes inflicted on a child. I have seen first hand the devestating effects of sexual abuse on a child. Hoplessness, eating disorders, unhealthy relationships, generational abusive patterns, and suicide are just a few of the effects of child sexual abuse. This bill will begin to educate students, parents, teachers and school personnel how to report and seek help for child sexual abuse. Educating our children and equipping them with a voice to stop the abuse should be our top priority.

Don't be misled by the education reform movement. Public schools in Indiana are not failing! They have been steadily improving over the last 20 years. The Indiana Coalition for Public Education supports focusing public tax dollars on the K-12 education of public school students and opposes legislation that funds private school vouchers. Hydraulic fraction of shale to release stores natural gas and/or oil is destroying hundreds of millions of gallons of water, first by contaminating it with chemicals and foreign matter in order to make it an effective agent to fracture the shale and then by being able to recover only about 30% of it after drilling is completed. The contaminated water has become additionally toxic as a result of its stay in the ground and there is no way known to clean it up for safe use by humans, plants or animals. Fresh water is not a renewable resource. Additionally, storage of this fracking waste, or "brine" is not regulated and poses an additional danger to life.

Greynolds is an old and historic park, and should be protected as such. there is a large commercial development proposed at the S.E. corner of the park consisting of multiple high rise buildings.
