Bestiality is more frequent than people realize. People that will do this to helpless animals often abuse children and women. Violence against animals should not be tolerated in a civilized society and must be prosecuted. Please help Minnesota to join the other 17 states who have made bestiality a felony. Day light savings time makes no sense. Arizona doesn't change their clocks. Studies show that it doesn't save much energy, and they show that there are more heart attacks, more car accidents and sleepy students and workers for up to a week after the change. It is time to do away with it. Either spring a head and leave it or fall behind and leave or fall behind 1/2 this fall to split the difference and then leave it alone.

Ever felt trapped in your job? Meet Maria. She came to the United States on a six month visa to care for a disabled woman. Her employers took away her passport, refused to pay her, and literally trapped her in their home. It took her 13 months to escape that job. Now Maria cleans houses to support her family. But because Maria doesn’t have a formal pay history, either from her time doing home care or her current work cleaning houses, she may not even be eligible to get on the path to earned legal status. We need to do right by women like Maria. Senator Mazie Hirono is calling attention to this and similar issues by chairing a full Judiciary hearing on Women and Immigration on March 18th. We think every member of the Committee should be there to understand the particular challenges facing immigrant women. We are losing the battle against private interests as they take over our schools, public transportation systems, parking meters, and just about anything else that private political donors can get their hands on. The truth is, charter schools do not out-perform public schools, the parking meters are a disaster, and the latest--CTA cancels bus routes even as it hands over half a BILLION dollars to some private entity to supposedly make collections faster. Nobody was complaining about the old system. Enough is enough. This has to stop. Services to citizens are being drastically cut back to make room for greedy corporations who make political donations. Please send a message to our city leaders. Tell them we will not stand for this outrageous practice any longer!

Modern Money Theory (MMT) can allow the citizens of the USA to cease fear of the deficit/debt bogie men. MMT will permit understanding that this sovereign country can always pay it's debts. A country which prints/uses it's own currency and employs floating exchange rates can never go broke and need not fear inflation as long as there are unemployed citizens willing to work. They're abundant, they're renewable and they're considered a "nuisance" but solar and wind power are two nearly limitless sources of energy we can be tapping in to on a daily basis. Meanwhile, we debate and argue for or against limited sources such as coal and uranium, which are not only harmful to our health and the environment but will eventually run dry.

My petition is about saving as many lives as possible by removing them from a hopeless situation in which they should not have been and leaving the Afghans to solve their own problems. We have more than enough of our own problems and some of our citizens now in Afghanistan can be put to work here in helping to solve them. Walmart sells 2 different onesies for infants that have gun advertising on the front. The first onesie has a picture of Popeye with the slogan"Welcome to the Gun Show" and is manufactured by King Features Syndicate and the other onesie has the slogan "is it legal to Carry Guns This Big?", which is manufactured by Faded Glory. I feel that walmart should pull these off the shelves because it is using young children to advertise guns and this is extremely insensitive being that they are the innocent victims.
