Recently, 4 young women were killed in a motor vehicle accident related to driving while distracted. These deaths are part of 35,000 annual fatalities and one half million bodily injuries occuring on our roads each year. Many of these accidents are the results of distracted driving from cell phone use and texting. We would like President Obama to make this a DNC platform issue. It is our hope that he would pledge to reduce road fatalities by half during his next four year term.

Elections in the United States should be limited to five (5) months total. Three (3) months in the Spring and two (2) months in the Fall (September, October). This will allow politicians to concentrate on their job and not on the constant need to fund raise. It will also stop the incessant political noise.

Traditional cleaners contain ingredients linked to asthma, cancer, reproductive toxicity, hormone disruption, neurotoxicity, and other negative effects. These cleaning agents contaminate the air, surfaces, and dust that surround our children, teachers, and school staff every day. I would like to propose something that isn't a new idea regarding term limits for all congress and senate elected officials. I would like them to be capped at two terms. With that I would also like to see the government employees be invested in 401k accounts and have them have the same opportunities as those of us they represent to seek healthcare insurance at the end of their term, either voted out or term has expired. Their retirement/401k would function the same as the private sector. With the savings we would realize, I would propose that money go directly to fund healthcare benefits for our veterans. I would work in more details, but would love if we could have a serious action on this issue. I believe we americans are tired of this congress/senate reaping benefits that last too long and for really no achieved results.

Too many citizens are being killed because they might be mistaken for for a criminal or they are at the wrong place. This can happened to you or anyone. Police or sheriffs should be more cautious in applying deadly force when it is apparent their potential quarry is obviously unarmed and unable to inflict serious harm.

The biggest legalize scam to date is your credit score that has been used by insurance,auto & home owners insurance companies. They covert your credit score to "insurance score" & a bad credit score makes you a bad driver & home owner! Insurance companies say their is a correlation between low scores & bad drivers & bad home owners. If anyone really believes this correlation I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you cheap. 19 states allow this scam.

Our public City Park has closed the bathrooms. I go to church there on Friday evening and there is nowhere to go to the bathroom. Public parks in different areas of town have unlocked bathrooms 24/7. I believe this is discrimination against the homeless who now do not even have a homeless shelter or somewhere to clean up anymore. The shelter became a drug rehab program after the building was completed.

Following unprecedented Black voter turnout in Ohio during the 2008 presidential election, Republicans there have been looking for ways to diminish the Black community’s electoral power. This is a clear attempt to limit Black voters’ and other urban dwellers’ access to the polls. Genetically Modified ingredients are in 75% of the foods on America's supermarket shelves. They have been linked to toxic and allergic reactions in people; to sick, sterile, and dead livestock; and to damage to virtually every organ studied in lab animals. I have a right to know if my food is genetically modified. Please pass a bill that requires labeling of foods containing Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). Ninety-one percent of the American public supports the right to know if foods are genetically modified. This may be the greatest level of bipartisan constituent agreement you've ever encountered on any issue in your career. There have been laws introduced in 19 states that would have required labeling of genetically modified foods, and on November 6 California may become the first state to pass GMO labeling legislation at the ballot box. Don't align with Monsanto, which was voted the most hated company on earth for 11 years running. Please align with your constituents, and: 1) Support GMO labeling legislation that is at least as strong as what is on the ballot in California; and 2) Support the right of states like California to mandate labeling of GMOs.
