A petition to demand that the Justice Department immediately begin legal proceedings against those states that are illegally trying to subvert the vote of millions of citizens, by trying to suppress their abilities to vote. This is a tactic by those states in question that is totally illegal given the civil rights act of 1964 and other legislation since.

My 11 year-old twin sons have autism. Autism and food allergy rates have skyrocketed at the same time that genetically modified foods entered our food supply. Genetically modified foods have been linked to toxic and allergic reactions in people; to sick, sterile, and dead livestock; and to damage to virtually every organ studied in lab animals. Like every other American, I should have a right to know if the food I buy for my kids is genetically modified.

Every year our pool offers less and less hours for taxpayers who actually pay for the pool are able to use it. I am an avid swimmer in Florida–I want the pool to be open so I can use it. Once "summer" ends & school begins, the pool closes on saturdays. Once October comes the two nights a week the pool is open from June to October close. The rest of the year: October thru June the pool is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. I work as a teacher, own a house, so I pay property tax, and cannot use my city's pool! It is ridiculous! Ideas I have thought of is to sue the city because as a resident and tax payer I cannot use my rec center's pool. In the afternoon, the pool is rented out to a private entity. (Citizens used to have 3 lanes to use during the afternoon, now none). Obviously, Florida is hot just about all year long–the pool should be available all year long! 2nd idea, like Gandhi's non-violent actions, I would like to petition citizens who cannot use the pool to escrow the portion of their taxes that go to the operation of the pool until they open the pool, make it accessible to tax payers. Fitness counts, so does a healthy lifestyle! The director of the pool makes a good salary. He should be held accountable to make the pool accessible or lose his job. The president's council agrees that a healthy lifestyle is important. Let's leave the pool open for all citizens of Largo, Florida to use on a daily basis!

Events like First Friday and other special festivities have brought life to Chinatown and revitalized the area, drawing in visitors that support local businesses and keep Chinatown thriving. There are efforts underway to limit or eliminate such events and alcohol consumption therein. Please join & sign this petition to keep the party going in Chinatown.

Our social justice covenant community, SisBros, read Robert Reich’s book, Beyond Outrage. We are voters and are aware of how the Citizens United ruling allows for no limits on what unelected corporations can spend on political activity. An executive order would stop this expensive conflict of interest by banning all political activity by unelected corporations getting more than half their revenues from the federal government. This executive order will provide transparency regarding unelected corporate lobbying.

Stop buying goods made out of the USA

It is my sincere belief that the Schools in our Country have more violence, shootings and killings since Prayer was taken out of the schools. I am a Retired Educator from Jefferson County Public Schools in Louisville, Kentucky. Severals students from the School where I worked has been killed due to violence. Two of these sudents were killed by Police Officers; one student was 15 years old. This student broke into someone's home, the Police arrived, chased the student and shot him in the back. The student was killed. Prayer is a faith act that may not be practiced in many students homes, therefore, if they heard Prayer practiced in their School hopefully this will sitimulate their behavior to be respectful to others and themselves.

My daughter wishes to go to UC Berkeley, ufortunatly UC campus try to recrute out of state students first so that they can get the extra out of state tution. This leaves Ca residents out or they have to look for other collges. Ca students should be considered first for any UC opening then out of state students.

MoveOn or Obama's campaign or some Sprpac should run TV spots featuring MM and his Job #1 speech juxtaposed with "Don't Like Our Economy"? etc. 95% of the bills shoved thru by the house by the Tea Party had -Nothing- to do with jobs or deficits. If fact Ryan's Budget and it's Tax Breaks For The Rich...would make the deficit worse!

This is to demand Ohio Child Support Guidelines be revised. Too many families are struggling to pay impossible amounts of child support, only to support the Ex's and NOT the children who are the ones to be provided for. Actual costs to care for a child, not your amount of income need to be considered in support orders and custodial parents need to be held accountable for the money awarded to them!
