    Secretary of State Husted said he is considering limiting earlyvoting hours across the state in the run-up to the November election, and will "be listening to local boards of elections' concerns on this issue." We need to let local Boards of Elections across Ohio know that Ohioans support giving all registered voters equal opportunity to exercise their right to vote.

    Ohio has actively created increased access to voting in areas that tend to lean republican and decreasing access to voting in areas that tend to lean democratic. Now that there is a national spotlight on this activity, they are speaking of equality, but they have already established an unequal system. Please demand equal access.

  • Change the law so everyone has a civil union
    I have worked as a family law legal assistant in California for nearly 20 years and I now believe marriage fails because it is based on religious ideals that do not fit everyone. Our U.S. Constitution's First Amendment says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...." If we replace the word "marriage" with "civil union" in our laws granting rights to married persons and let marriage be something churches do, we will separate church and state, and we will all have the same civil rights and religious freedom that the Constitution guarantees.
