Restore Our DemocracyPledge to our representative and two senators that we will not vote to reelected them in November 2012 unless they do what they can to promote a new Constitutional Amendment to restrict freedom of speech to publically aired speech and to promote the integrigy of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau so that those who take out mortgages and loans will not be cheated by not knowing the particulars of the mortgage.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Donald V Steward

Exile Private Equity Dems from MSNBC TVGet Money Out of United States Politics: Recently, on national television, three prominent Democrats criticized President Obama's anti-Bain Capital ads against the Romney campaign, because they were more concerned about their own cash flows than supporting the President's 2012 re-election efforts.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by jay led

No Funding Left BehindThe wave of charter, online, and private schools formed in the past several years have created a common scenario where these schools are allowed to take tax dollars from the public schools. While these schools have the lawful right to exist, they also have the luxury of taking only the students that do not create a behavioral or educational problem for the staff or other students. When a student is forced to leave these schools, the money should not be allowed to stay, but should then follow the student due to the fact that the (Charter/Online/Private) school usually keeps these children on their rolls until after the count time.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Earl R. Political Jobs Should Have The Same Benefits As Regular Jobs.I feel ALL politicians should be should be held to the same standards as anyone holding a regular job. If or when you leave a regular job you do NOT get to keep any benefits from that job so why should our government officials get to keep their benefits.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Schmitt

Save the Goshute Tribes Water from Vegas! The Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) wants to tap into the groundwater held sacred by the Goshute tribe that sustains their existence. The purpose? To provide for future development of the Vegas Strip. The plan would be to pump billions of gallons which could potentially drain the aquifer under their reservation. Such would turn their already diminished lands into a veritable desert. Though government officials claim these beliefs unfounded, hydrologist Tom Meyers admits that pumping may have a quicker impact than expected. The proposed pumping would include 5 valleys along the Utah-Nevada border, all of which are connected. While effects are expected to be felt in the far distant future (200 yrs) it is believed that too little research has been conducted to substantiate such claims. The reality is that no one knows what effects pumping the aquifer will have, but losing only a few feet of groundwater could devastate the regions inhabitants, wildlife and environment. If the shrinking Colorado River wasn't enough for the Vegas tourism industry, neither will be the Goshute's sacred groundwater. It's time to stand up for what's right and stop frivolous water expenditures.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Chrissy Adams
