The Patriot Act is clearly in violation of the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution and the courts refuse to even hear any case that challenges its constitutionality. The Patriot Act needs to be allowed to expire as it was intended.

This petition is designed to rid the American people of career politicians who further their own interests by voting for themselves the things they will not grant to the very people who placed them in office. It is imperitive that all Americans unite and put pressure for reform on congress.

Congress doubled the percentage rate on student loans. If you are a student or a parent of a student, and have to take loans out for education, this affects you! I am calling on everyone to stand up and stop the interest raise on student loans.

Students of many private colleges may have their Cal Grant reduce by the Governor of California in the upcoming budget cut, but Governor I am concern about students' future and the opportunities to achieve a good education at the University of Redlands and other universities. Please do not deprive them of what will make this nation a productive and progressive place.

Water is necessary to all living things. Recently, bottling companies such as Coke, Pepsi and Nestle have attempted to manipulate water sources needed for municipal drinking, irrigation and natural habitat preservation to their own ends:profit. Not only are the plastic bottles showing up on the bottom of the Pacific ocean and in sea creatures' digestive systems, but the bottlers are also sidestepping FDA regulations by bottling and distributing within state boundries, thus eliminating the oversight of the FDA, which only regulates federal, i.e. interstate products. People have been fooled into thinking that bottled water is superior in quality to that of their local municipality, whose water sources are tested daily by the EPA. Often that same "inferior" water is bottled and then sold back to consumers at a huge mark up. Bottlers have fought against disclosing their sources, and continue to profit off consumer fear and misinformation.

It should be illegal for an employer to screen any employee, or employment applicants credit report, and base their employment or potential employment on that score. This discrimination is a large part of what is keeping the unemployment rate at high levels.

Pledge for voters and lawmakers in Alabama to sign, promising to protect the needs of children. Our current General Fund is in severe shortfall: services to children including their medical care are being threatened. Some lawmakers have signed a Norquist Pledge not to bring in new revenue with taxes-- we want them to pledge instead to do the right thing for the children of our state. On television and radio, the commercials are routinely made to play much louder than the regular programming. This is an offense to the ears of all Americans and an imposition upon all American citizens of all political bents. A strictly-enforced rule should be enacted to forbid this practice.

We all have a nuclear Sword of Damoclese over our heads, unless We the Common People demand its complete eradication by the year 2030.

Our younger generation has been assaulted by the Afghanistan War, which is creating an onslaught of heroin addicted veterans that end up in jail committing suicide! We need to protect our young people from the onslaught of this drug proliferation of this very addictive drug, heroin! Drug addicted youth need to be treated medically to help save their lives, not by incarceration!
