MEDICAL NEGLIGENCEOn February 2, 2018, Our adult son was hit by a car. When emergency ems and law enforcement arrived he was able to talk and the report made by the law officer said he had non-life threatening injuries. The officer came to our house and told us what happened and stated in his report non-life threatening injuries. When we arrived at the hospital he was on a stretcher and he had no neck or back brace on and he was no longer able to talk. I feel because they thought he was not hurt that bad, they failed to put a collar and brace his back, resulting in making the injury worse! He was completely paralyzed and he could not talk he was on a respirator, until I consented on February 11, 2018, for the doctor to remove it and he died in my arms!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sharon L Green

We Stand With The Majority: Pass Laws to Prevent Gun Violence NowHere in Delaware, our General Assembly is on the precipice of passing common sense reforms to prevent gun violence, but we need your help. We can't let the voices of a clear majority be drowned out by a loud few who oppose any and all gun violence legislation. We need to make sure our governor and the General Assembly know that Delawareans stand with our fellow Americans on these critical reforms.909 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Delaware Coalition Against Gun Violence

Improve Cell Phone Coverage Westmont Hilltop High School - Johnstown PA and Surrounding AreaIn the current age more and more people rely on cell or mobile phones as a primary means of communication. The area bounded by St Clair Road, Route 271/Menoher Boulevard and as far out as Fender Lane have extremely little if any coverage at all. Consumers are forced to purchase boosters for their households. Recent school shootings highlight the need for cell phone coverage. Coverage at the Westmont Hilltop High School both in and outdoor is almost non existent. The four major cell phone companies, AT&T, SPRINT, VERIZON and T-MOBILE all claim to provide coverage in the area. The purpose of the petition is to hold these companies accountable for the service consumers are paying for, and not receiving.1,017 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Peter Hassett

Stop hurting Dreamers. Bring Marco back home!President Trump said he would treat our nation’s Dreamers "with heart" and that they have "nothing to worry about," but his administration barred DACA recipient Marco Villada from re-entering the United States, despite assuring him that he would be able to come back home after obtaining his visa in Mexico. Marco has lived nearly his entire life in California and did everything the government asked of him to adjust his immigration status. Despite that, Marco is currently stranded in Mexico, away from his husband, family, and community in Los Angeles — the only place he knows as home. Barring Marco from the United States goes against everything our country should stand for. #BringMarcoBack366 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Adela de la Torre

Stop Eminenent Domain AbuseThe use of the power of eminent domain to seize private citizens' property to serve corporate interests is wrong. A public purpose must be defined as something more than increasing tax revenues. This has led to abuse by private companies, such as the energy companies seizing private property to put in things such as gas transmission lines to benefit only themselves. Protect our right to the undisturbed ownership of property owned by individual citizens! I am starting this petition because my property is being taken for a gas pipeline operated purely for profit. There is not even a guarantee that the gas will be used in the US! This is just plain wrong, and the Supreme Court decision supporting this needs to be addressed by a law or Constitutional Amendment that stops this abuse.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Elisabeth Tobey

Israel: Stop Shooting Unarmed PalestiniansMany decent Israeli teens—drafted into the Israeli army—have been ordered to shoot into crowds of unarmed civilian Gazans protesters. Following these orders is a violation of international law and human rights, and might be punishable decades from now in light of the many Gazans who have already been killed or wounded, yet refusing an order from their superior officers would likely result in being jailed by the Israeli military. These soldiers should not be placed in this situation, and nonviolent protesters should not be met with lethal force. The massacre of unarmed Palestinians living in Gaza is a violation of international law and universally accepted standards of human rights. B'tselem, the Israeli Human Rights organization, has called upon Israelis to recognize that they have an obligation in International Law to reject the orders of superiors that tell them to shoot into crowds of unarmed civilians, even if a handful of those civilians take provocative actions like attempting to cut down the border fence or burn tires or even throw Molotov cocktails at the well-armed Israeli soldiers (though most of those killed and the thousands who have been wounded by Israeli guns in this latest outburst of violence did none of these things).32,556 of 35,000 SignaturesCreated by Michael Lerner

Let Senators Breastfeed on the Senate FloorMy name is Rachel, and my Senator, Tammy Duckworth, made history -- by giving birth to a daughter! In 230 years Senator Duckworth is the first Senator to give birth while in office, and as an Illinois voter and mom of two adorable kids, including a newborn, it makes me so proud. Like me, and most new moms in the country, I bet the challenges around returning to work are already on her mind. Senate rules prevent her from taking maternity leave, at least not without missing votes! And they don’t let her bring her new baby on the Senate floor -- so she might really struggle to prioritize breastfeeding when she has to rush back in time for votes. These Senate rules are ridiculously outdated - and send a terrible signal to employers everywhere. That’s why I’ve started a campaign to change the rules to allow all Senators to bring their babies to the floor (within the first year of the child’s life) -- join me! We have a severe and persistent leadership gap in this country. Just 5% of CEOs in Fortune 500 companies, 8% of Governors and 19% of Congress are women. As a result, there are so few leaders who have had the experience of giving birth at all, let alone while serving in office. It’s no surprise that our policies around birth and babies in America are among the worst in the world. We need to change that so new parents can fully lead and represent us. As Senator Duckworth says “whether you are a woman or a man, whether you're breastfeeding or not, or you've adopted, you should be able to bring that child on to the floor and continue to do your job."427 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Rachel P-N

Public BroadbrandI am starting this petition because of the recent decision by the FCC to end Net Neutrality guidelines that keep the internet open and not subject it to fast or slow lanes. In the wake of the decision made by Ajit Pai it has led to the dismantling of the open and free internet and it should be in the best interest of the public to institute its own public broad brand with Net Neutrality guidelines enshrined within the proposal.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Samuel Ryan

No War on SyriaThe people of Syria do not deserve to be bombed based on an allegation that Assad may be responsible for using chlorine gas on his own people. Regime change in the Middle East has proven disastrous in both Iraq and Libya. The United States must not commit further immoral attacks on innocent civilians. No war on the people of Syria.22 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Harriet Heywood

Take action now: Tell Interior Secretary Zinke to stop handing over our public lands to corporati...Zinke is doing everything he can to destroy protections for our National Parks and public lands. He's once again stacking his advisory committees with corporate cronies who benefit from having influence over our public lands and wild places. We need to send 40,000 signatures to show Zinke that our parks are not for sale. His job is to protect our national treasures, not exploit them to benefit giant corporations.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peter Stocker

Tell the Department of the Interior: Don't let Trump destroy Grand Staircase-Escalante!Donald Trump is trying to hand over Grand Staircase-Escalante to the coal industry. He is planning to destroy the beautiful Kaiparowits Plateau -- which makes up much of the monument -- by mining. The Department of the Interior is seeking public input on this plan. But you only have until April 13th to speak up!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peter Stocker

Tell the Senate: Don't put a coal lobbyist in charge of our environmental protections!Donald Trump has nominated a coal industry lobbyist named Andrew Wheeler to fill the number two spot at the Environmental Protection Agency. With EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt mired in scandal and fighting for his job, Wheeler could be next in line to take over the EPA. That makes it all the more important that we stop his nomination.387 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Carrie Mann
