Fox is the only major television network not carrying the January 6 Select Committee's historic primetime hearings! It's shameful. For nearly a year, a bipartisan congressional committee has been investigating January 6, 2021, when a deadly insurrection at the Capitol sought to overturn the presidential election and resulted in multiple deaths and over 100 injuries. Numerous insurrectionists have been convicted already. The work of the January 6 committee—involving tens of thousands of hours of depositions and hundreds of thousands of pages of evidence—will shed new light on this historic and horrific event, as well as the wide-ranging criminal conspiracy that led to that day and its ongoing threats. But Fox viewers were prevented from seeing that. The committee revealed text messages from Fox's Sean Hannity, urging the Trump camp to end its parade of election lies peddled by the likes of Rudy Giuliani and the MyPillow guy, demanding "no more crazy people" and "no more stolen election talk." But viewers didn't see that, and didn't hear Hannity account for himself during his counter-programming. Instead, Fox commentators launched a pathetic attack against the committee and pretended to cover the hearings, but cut away from the gruesome documentary footage of the attacks and omitted key sworn testimony from administration figures, including Attorney General William Barr and Ivanka Trump. Fox viewers have the right to hear the case that is being made—without Fox's heavy-handed editorializing and distortions. Only by hearing and processing the same facts of the case, can we as a public develop a shared understanding of what happened on January 6, and inform our collective sense of how to hold insurrectionists accountable and defend our elections and republic against future attacks.

Cuong Phan is a 46 year old incarcerated Vietnamese immigrant who came to this country in 1984, when he was 8 years old. Cuong was sentenced to serve 15 years to life for gang-related shooting in September of 1994, even though he wasn’t the shooter. He was just an 18 year old boy when he was arrested. Cuong has since taken full responsibility for his actions, serving 28 years in State Prison. In this time, he’s completed multiple programs (Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Criminals and Gangs Anonymous, Lifer's Activity Group, Anti-Recidivism Coalition, Meditation Buddhist Pathways, Going Out By Going In, Partnership for Re-Entry Program); built his skills in the trades (Vocational Machine Shop, Computer Services and Repair, Vocational Mill and Cabinet, Braille Transcriber); and continued his education to earn 6 college degrees. Cuong is now the Supervisor for the braille program at Ironwood State Prison, which helps produce books for blind and disabled students across the nation. The company he works for has also offered him a job when he’s free. Cuong was recently granted parole, pending Governor Newsom’s approval. His release will be in July of this year. However, ICE has issued a detainer on Cuong. This means that ICE requested the State Prison to notify them before releasing Cuong. On his release day, instead of being freed, Cuong will be detained by ICE, and potentially deported to a country he’s never known. Cuong should be reunited with his family and community, who are ready to support him and his freedom. Will you sign the petition TODAY to stop Cuong from being transferred to ICE?

Families and residents have already called for firing Arredondo and overhauling the police department. When residents needed them the most, school district officials and the police were nowhere to be found. They failed to do their job. Recently, new details emerged sharing the repeated 911 calls made by children from inside the classroom where the shooter released rounds of bullets as police officers stood in the hallway and waited. Let this be a reminder that we need to divest from corrupt police departments and pour resources into our communities. We need police to take accountability for their wrongdoing in this tragedy, right now. The families who lost their loved ones deserve peace and justice. We always here that children are our future and the most precious gift we have. Children need to be protected and nurtured at all costs. The best way to do that is to have a faculty that is fully mentally and physically healed after having their own children. The number one cause of death for children in the United States is firearm-related. Yes, you read that correctly. Surpassing motor vehicle crashes for the first time ever. As a mother and just a human -being, this is horrendous, terrifying, and frankly makes me sick. This is so preventable. Something has to change. Our forefathers never would have guessed what the future would hold. So what can we do? What do we need to change? The answer - gun reform. Gun. Reform. Works. It just does. As our nation reckons with the epidemic of gun violence and as a vast majority of Americans support more restrictions, we can't let our gun laws be limited by Republican obstructionism, the power of the gun lobby, or a handful right-wing justices with whom Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump packed the Supreme Court to further the agenda of right-wing zealots. Congress has a popular mandate to act—and now is the time. We had an assault weapons ban within the past two decades, and Congress must vote to reinstate it immediately. The assault weapons ban was initially supported by bipartisan consensus—and voters of all walks of life agree that AR-15s have no place in civilian life and are not what the framers of the Constitution envisioned in drafting the Bill of Rights. During the Bush presidency, Republicans in control of Congress let it lapse—and the results have been devastating. Massacre after massacre occur because of military-grade assault weapons, high-capacity magazines, and the fast and deadly impact of these weapons. Without AR-15s and other assault weapons, the incidence of mass gun violence would drop immediately. Many Republican voters agree with these measures, but Republican elected officials, who are in a ghoulish embrace with the NRA and others in the gun lobby, want to talk about anything other than guns when it comes to gun violence. That's why Republican leaders need to hear loud and clear: Voters expect you to take real action and will respect you for passing an assault weapons ban and other commonsense measures. Over 6 million children in the US live with food insecurity. The expanded child tax credit, combined with the USDA program that provided free meals for all school children were a lifeline for hardworking families struggling to put food on the table. The double whammy of both these programs expiring, combined with rising grocery prices, puts America's children at further risk of hunger. No child should go to bed hungry. And we know that children can not learn if they are not fed. Universal free meals is the moral thing to do. It ensures our kids grow up healthy and well educated, which benefits us all.

The Revive Alaska Food Pantry is the only permanent food pantry serving South and soon Midtown Anchorage in collaboration with the Food Bank of Alaska (AFB). Also, RACS Food Pantry is the only major outlet in South Anchorage for the Food Bank of Alaska to distribute the federal TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program for low-income Americans) as well as the federal CSFP Commodity Supplemental Food Program for low-income seniors. Currently, RACS and AFB in negotiations for the expansion of the RACS Food Pantry to a major AFB Agency Partner this 2022 summer to meet the increasing needs of Anchorage residents in South and Midtown Anchorage. This newly relocated and expanded RACS Food Pantry will help put food on the table of many anchorage residents suffering from the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and the rising inflation.

Allow Cannabis stores in Downtown Dover: Cannabis needs to be readily accessible to the people of dover. This would also create more opportunity's to open cannabis stores and create more jobs for dover residents. we should embrace the cannabis culture and integrate is with our diverse downtown. This would bring additional foot traffic to local business and stimulate the economy.

But according to news reports, President Biden is about to travel to Saudi Arabia to restore U.S. relations with Saudi Arabia's brutal oil dictator, Mohammed bin Salman. Biden may travel to Saudi Arabia later this month in order to shake the Saudi dictator's hand. Saudi Arabia's state-owned oil company, Saudi Aramco, is the world's largest corporate climate polluter.
