The auto industry has endangered the public by producing larger, wider, and heavier vehicles. This petition aims to pass laws limiting the size of the new oversized models being sold to the American people and forcing the auto industry to eliminate these new bloated monsters from our streets and highways.

We are a group of concerned neighbors and constituents from all walks of life who stand together against this absurd cell tower construction. Our neighborhood would see property values plummet by upwards of 20% according to some studies. We believe that the homes of our neighborhood are more important than better 4g coverage. We also believe that the church they are building the tower on has been taken for a ride because English is not their first language. We will not be bullied by a corporation and we will not allow our neighbors to be bullied either.

We are a group of concerned citizens who are alarmed by the proliferation of fake news on the Internet and want to help combat this problem. Currently, many American get their news from Internet sites that include misinformation or downright lies. The spread of false news outlets is poisoning political discourse as well as affecting world events in unpredictable and dangerous ways. We believe that the Internet needs to adapt and provide a means to assist people in differentiating news based on facts from fake news that is written with the intent to deceive or for entertainment purposes.

Donald Trump's tweets are ill-conceived and at times dangerous to American foreign policy and world stability. He embarrasses not only himself but the entire country. This type of unfiltered social media vomit by the president-elect is very worrisome and a problem for our Democracy. We need to take action soon before any more damage is done to American credibility and policy. Tweeting about increasing American nuclear capability is the last straw.

It's enough. The people of Hagerstown need to break the monopoly held by Antietam cable. Prices continue to go up as service options and reliability decline. My bill has gone up $30 as my service level was eliminated and I am forced to pay for a higher level of service. We need our service for school, work, and entertainment. I'm a musician, and I've made a penny per stream from my YouTube video. Video and audio streaming companies make the lion's share of the streaming profit while the artists get practically nothing. Artists should get at least 20 cents a stream clear. Musicians work for years to master their performances; we deserve to be paid fairly for our efforts.

The government of Bahrain has reserved the Trump International Hotel for celebration of its annual national day. This raises serious conflict-of-interest questions about the incoming president's administration, including how this event could affect US policy towards Bahrain. If Donald Trump lived in Bahrain, he might be in prison like Nabeel Rajab who was imprisoned for tweets that criticized the Bahraini monarchy. [2] This summer the main Bahraini opposition party was dissolved and nearly all of its leaders are now imprisoned or detained. [3] The President-elect should not accept payment from any foreign governments, especially repressive ones like Bahrain which the U.S. should continue to criticize for human rights abuses. If President-elect Trump fails to reject these payments and divest from his companies, it will increase suspicions that US foreign policy under the Trump administration is “bought and paid for”.
